NickyMG - Congrats on your 2nd pregnancy! ALL of the BEST!

Yip.... Cant believe our "babies" are almost 2...

Our thread is kinda quiet - but every now and then it does get busy.

I was thinking last night of posting something but was sooooo lazy... LOL!

Ok moomies..

This side....

Luke is enjoying creche, he seems to be adapting very well and does enjoy it alot. Still being a big boy and sleeping in his own bed and only wakes up once - at the moment that is... just wish I could get him to sleep until after 7am on a weekend LOL. Bedtime is getting a little easier, I still need to lay next to him until he falls asleep - but on average that takes about 10-15 minutes and then he is lights out.

Busy counting down the days until I am on leave... 17 to go wooo hooo and then a few days later Luke and I are flying to EL! Cant wait!

Anyone planning a 2nd Birthday party for their LO's? Im not going to have a party this year, however will be having cupcakes made for creche and will also send each child in his class a party pack. I dont have a clue what to get Luke for his Birthday... Any idead anyone?

Hope you all have an awesome day - hope to hear from some of you!!

x

Hi ladies

It's been a loooooong time since I was last on here, but I thought that I'd see if anyone still posts.

How's everyone's little ones? Can't believe that they're hitting the 2's.

Hubby and I have been blessed and we have another baby on the way (13 weeks now). Feels so different from with my last one. EVERYTHING is different - maybe this one will be a boy :) I'm hoping for a VBAC, but my doc says it's unlikely as I didn't go into labour last time, so it'll probably be the same. He seems willing to book my c-section quite late thankfully.

Anyhow, I hope that you still check this and are up for a chat.

26 April was the date my life changed forever - I heard the sound of Katie's voice for the first time.

Ha ha Babyshoes, to be honest we could have gone to Bethal and I would't be able to wait. It's weird, but researching and booking the holiday - and it's only three days - just brought back so many good feelings. We used to do a fair amount of travelling before the whole baby thing happened and it's one thing that we're both really good at together, if that makes sense. Some couples play golf together. Others go out clubbing. I guess travelling's the one thing (apart from food and wine) that we do well together and it's been a while since we've done it so our love metres have been a bit empty

I saw Bronz a few weeks ago (sorry Bronz, I'm answering on your behalf here, but you're being missed) and she's a-ok, just a bit hectic at the moment. She's still at her mum's. Seems like everyone's a bit hectic since the munchkins started arriving. I do miss all the updates, although Facebook is also good at keeping us in touch.

The little ones are growing up so fast. I've become a walking cliche. But sometimes I wish time would just stand still for a little while.

Just thinking, why don't you chat to Jacadebra (who has been very quiet lately) about it - she is proof that it is possible to have a successful Vbac.

How is everyone else doing? Pinky, has your little one arrived yet? I see you guys are jolling quite a lot :) I finally got round to booking us in at the Vic Falls, so my folks are coming up to stay for three days in the beginning of March while we set off for a bit of couple time. Looking forward to it, but at the same time a teeny bit apprehensive about being away from Emily. Although she's been such a pain in the butt the last two days (didn't nap at all yesterday, waking up during the night, generally a miserable little sh*t) that if she keeps it up it will be easy *insert guilty Mama face here*.

Thanks so much ScribblingAl! Think I've been on those websites but that was even before I fell preggy  (That's how sure I was that I wanted a VBAC) Will go back & check them out again.

Elamsmom, I've been doing a bit of research. This is what they say:

Guidelines to selective criteria

Age – she must be younger than 35 years.
Parity – the number of children she has given birth to.
Gravity – the number of times she has been pregnant (this must not exceed four).
The interval between her present and previous pregnancy must be at least 24 months.
Reasons for previous c-section may recur ruling out the possibility of a VBAC.
Labour must progress normally so that the woman gives birth within 12 hours.

So based on age alone I would have to get cracking if I wanted another baby via Vbac, ha ha ha!!!!!

There are some awesome websites. I'm trying to find names and numbers of gynaes closer to you. Will let you know if I have any luck, but you can check out this website for a nice story: www.earthbabies.co.za/index.php?option=c...th-stories&Itemid=73

Also this website is quite good. www.vbac.co.za
