Just wanted to check in and make some noise within the silence.
How are all the Moomies doing? Been thinking of our little group, keeping in touch on other mediums, but this was the original meeting place.

Pinky, how's the nausea? I want to go to the orphanage - have loads of clothes and stuff to drop off before the move.
Des, how's motherhood the second time round?
Babyshoes, how did it go with Luke's appointment?
Bronz, any updates on the US?
Beansmom, how's the house hunting going?
Jacadebra, have you guys found another house yet?

Have I left anybody out?

Moomie's been really quiet. Glad to see some posts.

Babyshoes Luke looks like he really enjoyed the holiday. Nice to have a break. I cannot parallel park to save my life. When I was still making weekly trips to Wits I had to park on the street, and downtown Braamfontein only has parallel parking. Those car guards made a fortune out of me. Believe me, they earned it! They built lots of arm muscles with all the directing they were doing.

Pinky, I am surrounded by pregnant friends and family. It seems like so many people have either just had a baby (Des you're in this group) or are about to (Pinky here) or are trying (anyone I need to add here?).

About the SAHM thing, Beansmom, I do sometimes miss the people, and when I go in for meetings I land up staying the whole morning, catching up. But I also don't want to go back to the office. I want to be a KW - a kept woman. That would be fabulous. No work, loads of help, and all the freedom and boozy lunches a woman needs.

Beansmom, put in that cheeky offer - you never know what might happen. The market is down and if they've been on the market for a while they may just accept it. Keep me posted - and with the meeting with the ex-client!!

As for our move, ladies, I am taking a packing and moving option. Not because I'm lazy or scared of breaking a nail, but because I honestly don't know where I'm going to find time for all the packing. Pinky, we do have a lot of crap, so I do want to do a clear out before we move. And as for WHEN, we're still waiting on the geriatrics to tell us when they will vacate the premises. But as with all retirees, they have all the time in the world.

@Des - congratz on you little boy... He is precious and absolutely adorable... Well done mommy!

@ ScribblinyAl - wow, can't believe you're moving in a month... Good luck and congratz! Hope the packing goes as smooth as it can... Throw away A LOT!

@Beansmom - SAHM can be tough... I did it for 15 months and was too bored... Working half day is doing me the world of good! Holding thumbs!

Here with us it is going well... I am about 11 weekd pregnant now... Still very nauseaus... That's why I've been so quiet... Not feeling up to a lot...
Karla is doing well, she loves school... Having so much fun! She is talking a lot... Started with 2 word sentences... So cute, repeating everything we say!

I am so tired now... Already in bed! Have a good night!

Hello there ladies!!!

Been a while since I popped on here... Been a little crazy this side... Have had a sick Tayla with a fever of 39 for 5 days solid!!! And then once that passed the entire family got a tummy bug for a full day! Not fun at all!!!

As far as other news goes - I got a call from an old client of mine out of the blue about a job offer... so going to chat to them tomorrow about that... Even though my thing is going... I am bored at home... no idea how these women do "SAHM" gigs! Really... i'm busy with all my orders and marketing etc - but BORED.com!!! So if i get a little half day job it may be just what i need... who knows.. open mind!!!!

@Scribblingal... househunting - aah man... we've seen something that has sooo much potential to be a lovely home, very big, great area and we already have our little visions of what to change etc to make it awesome... but a little out of our price bracket. we are going to take a chance and put in an offer at what we can afford and see what they say... After all this time of looking for stunning and modern, we've decided its better to get something livable in an amazing area! Such a tough decision!
You've got less than a month to go... have you started packing?!?!

Hi mommies

How you all doing? Things this side is soooo hectic, work is busy busy busy - so much happening!

Not had much time for moomie at work (boss still sitting behind me LOL), but also not had much time at home either... Luke is keeping me so busy. He throws really bad tantrums and he now at a stage where he does not want to sleep at night - if he has any indication that it is bed time - OMW - all hell is loose...

Anyways.... Our little holiday was quite nice - really enjoyed the break and Luke loved the water - must admit by then end of each day he was sooo tired and slept very well at night.

Driving lessons are going well - went again this weekend and was taught to do a 3 point turn and parallel parking... really dont like the parallel parking but I need to learn it. Clive took me on Sunday to do alot of stop and go so that I can get the hang of stopping differently at different speeds - what Im saying makes sense in my mind - dont know if it looks right here... know what I mean?

Otherwise I dont have anything new to really report, moomie is just sooo quiet lately.
