AUGUST 2014 BABIES!

Hi. I just want to say congratulations to the August ladies. How are your babies doing? I had my baby boy on 14 August. He's 24 days old today. It feels so strange having two kids! It's a big adjustment. Sometimes I feel a bit sad for my eldest boy. He's 4 and loves his baby brother but I feel like I can't give him as much attention as before and it makes me miss being a family of 3. But I do love my new little munchkin, who we've named Alex, and I'm sure in no time things will feel more settled.

I'm sorry to hear that the delivery is going to be different to what you had hoped. This is really out of your hands though, so try and focus on everything that's good about the C-section. Like that you'll be able to plan, you know the exact date so prepare everything to the most minute detail, charge the camera, heck, do your hair and make-up too. Also remember that you'll get to see your baby sooner, because the C is over quickly, but labour could take a whole day!

I can promise you that by mid-morning on Wednesday you will be so obsessed with your baby that you won't even think of how you feel right now. Like Bee says, your C-section will go 100%, your baby will perfect, and you will be an awesome mommy.

I know how you feel, went through the exact same with my first born. I would advise not to give in to the feeling too much. As it could lead to severe depression, as it did with me.

What makes you a mother, wouldnt be how you gave birth but the love you will give to your baby and it dont make you less of a woman. You will be an exceptional mother. Just think of it as your womb is so warm and cozy and that is what is causing a delay...or so use to being close, hearing your heatbeat and wondering whether the outside world will be just as cozy as inside.

Hey all.

Well our little one is still not here and she does not have a very
pro-active approach on moving along and meeting us...

Thus i have to go for a c-section on Wednesday.

This is really heartbreaking for me, as this makes me feel that i am
a failure due to the fact that i can't do the one thing that a woman
is designed to do...

Anybody else have a story to share?

sorry about your false start PetroK. That must've been disappointing to think you were going to meet your baby only for it to be false labour. Hope your bubs comes soon soon.

I'm off to the hospital in about half an hour. I woke up at 4am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I felt some pains and put it down to hunger because I'm not allowed to eat for 10 hours before surgery. At 6am I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was some blood. Been feeling some cramps on and off since then. So baby probably would've come on his own soon anyway.
