Been in tears this morning, hubby and I work together and he is having a tough time from the owners daughter, blames him for everything but doesn't even think about the fact that he hasn't had a night off for a week already. I'm so frustrated for him and want him to get a better job but me being pregnant kinda makes our job hunting very hard. So stressed and tired, poor man has a heart of gold and works so hard but always seems to get blamed by bitchy females because he doesn't bite back. Life was so much easier in school!

On to my new hobby, cloth nappies  I've just started off and only using pockets at the moment because I figured they would be easier for hubby and the nanny. They are basically like a disposable nappy but made with a waterproof outer layer and then you stuff inserts in a pocket inside which is covered by a stay dry suede material. I only have microfibe inserts but have ordered bamboo inserts which are more absorbant. If the poo is like a toddler poo then you plop that in the toilet, put nappy in washing machine on a rinse to get rid of any wee water or poop, then put on a normal cycle with half of the washing powder usually recommended and bobs your uncle your done! Hang in the sun and thats it really! You can go as fancy or as cheap as you want, lots of different types to choose from. I paid R120 per nappy and it can be adjusted by snaps as baby gets bigger so can be used from say 5kgs until potty training. They estimate you will spend over R15 000 in disposable nappies from birth to potty training so I don't think R120 for a funky reusable nappy is too bad. Like I said, have a look on doodlebums.co.za and join the cloth nappy fb page and learn from there. Its addictive! Oh ya, forgot to say, there is a second hand page for the nappies and believe it or not the nappies sell like hot cakes, so you even make some money back after using them!

Can't wait to go on lunch now and see my Roo, makes a horrible day so much better when I get greeted by him at the door

Hi everyone!

hope you are all still doing well. Thanks for the compliments! I don't always feel like I look good, as my skin is doing odd things and I feel like I am big enough to sink a boat, but at least photos are flattering :P

MommyMe I'm glad everything is looking so good with babs and that you don't have placenta previa! That's such great news. Pics are too cute!

Robyn I also had some bad pain on my left hand side for a couple of days accompanied by being really light-headed really easily, but it went away pretty soon. Also check with your hospital, but I know I get a free 4d scan at panorama when I book my bed, stoked about that.

AFM I don't really have much to report. My dad had some bad kidney stones removed and him and my mom are finally back from their extended leave now, so DH and I are visiting them this weekend (the last time I saw them I didn't have a bump at all!). Other than that I am just really grateful that I am healthy, and I am really having an easy time with the pregnancy at the moment. My energy levels are still good, no swelling, occasional heartburn but really nothing bad, no backache yet. So I am enjoying this phase while it lasts! Don't want to speak too soon, but I think we're getting closer to finalising baby's name, and it looks like it's going to be Nicholas :) but I know hubby likes to think things through for as long as he can, so it's not 100% final yet.

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!

Was also wondering about the cloth nappies, they are quite expensive in the beginning, something like R2000 for 1o or something? Or am I mistaken Natsvan? Also worrying about the washing. Give us some inside info Nats :P

Super cute tho.

natsvan, are the cloth diapers easy to use? I just worry about the washing and all that? It just seems like so much more effort in the beginning!! :s
Ah that sucks you had to turn it down! What gynae was it? Tell them I'll do it hehe :P We didn't get to see our little one at our 4D scan last week because he was hiding his face hehe!
Enjoy your time away! Gotta love Groupon, sometimes they really have fantastic deals!!!

So cute mommyme, awesome when they start to really act and look like a baby and not a tadpole!

Nadia, hope the holiday was good, my 5 rest days start on Saturday, we are going away to Emerald Casino, got a good deal on Groupon. Yes, I'm enjoying the cloth diapers, they are so funky and much easier to use then I thought. You should join the South African cloth nappy users fb page, the moms are hilarious and addicted to buying different prints and types. A fabulous website is www.doodlebums.co.za, explains all the different types. I've even stopped using wetwipes and using face cloths soaked in a lovely smelling mix! Turning into a hippie!!!!!!

Just had a phone call from the gynae asking me if I can't come in tomorrow because they want to test drive a new 4d scanner on me and I'm at the perfect weeks pregnant. I had to turn it down coz I'm 4 hours away and only leaving for Jhb on Saturday. Damn Damn Damn Damn

Oh well, gonna go and feel sorry for myself and hunt down a chocolate!!

Hello everyone :)

We got back from holiday on Tuesday and came back to work yesterday! Very tired still!

Joans, your pic is lovely! Such a neat bump!

MommyMe, glad all is well with your princess. The yawning pic is too cute

Natsvan, how are you finding the cloth diapering? I'm a bit nervous but I love the look!

Robsyc, hahaha I feel your pain! Waiting for the weekend but have so much to do! I think the sensation you are feeling is just your body adjusting to make space for baba.

Hope you all have a lovely day ;)

Such stunning photos MommyMe!

I just thought all you ladies from CT should know - Daddy's Deals is having a special for the baby sense seminar this weekend, can get a ticket for half price today!

I wasn't going to go until I saw this deal, so now I can go! Yay!

Have a great day
