MommyMe I hope you're feeling better! congrats on the flutters, it's so lovely to feel little one move, also it gets stronger everyday, which is such a nice indicator that babs is growing well.

Nadia yeah it's better in the morning I find, but at night it gets quite bad. Especially on my left side. But I think the worst is over now, just taking it easy to be cautious. We've started looking at names, we aren't particularly fond of my father-in-law's name, so we've decided that it will be the middle name and not the whole thing as per tradition. Then as our surname is Odendaal it does restrict us a bit, as really anything that isn't straight up Afrikaans sounds TERRIBLE with it. So at the moment the only two names we like are Lourens and Nicholas. Lourens would be kind of funny because my mother thought I was a boy when she was pregnant with me, and wanted to call me Lourens, so it would be a cute little next-generation story. But we haven't decided yet! And you?

All ok my side, just counting down till scan. Just want to know that my baby is alright! Was thinking of taking my son with to this next scan as he keeps on asking but will see.

Morning everyone

Just want to update you quick, I started to feel flutters last night. At first I thought its just stomach movements or whatever you call it, but then after I searched for little baba, I found it was her. She was at the exact place I felt the movements and also stinging pains. She is a very busy bee in there.

I started cough this morning, all in my chest and painful . Really wish now for some summer to come.

Also day number 3 without spotting, fx fx.

Hope you are having a good week.

MommyMe, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your little one looks so perfect! Glad that you have the monitor for peace of mind, its nice to know the little critters are still doing well. Mine moves about and kicks so often now, its a lovely reminder that everything is still going as planned. I also agree with the decorating stuff. For us, we would have loved to be able to afford our own house by the time we had our first child, but because it has happened 3 years early its not really an option. But we are extremely grateful to have the option of the house in Somerset, as it's nicely separated into two, and there are just so many perks for me support-wise (not so much for hubby with the commuting) but at least now we'll get the chance to start working towards our goal of buying our first place in 3 years. Times really have changed, it's a lot harder these days, but I guess we all get by.

Nadia we bought the Chelino Coyote travel system, which I really liked because it just looks a bit more sturdy (bigger wheels and such), and I really liked that is has cup holders for mommy and a tray with sippy cup holder for baby. Also so easy to handle and fold up!


Other than that I've been feeling a bit fragile, some round ligament pain I guess. I know between 16-20 weeks there's a lot of growing going on so I'm not too concerned, but I will feel better once I've had my 20 week scan (next week) so I can see that everything is fine. But the crampiness isn't too fun.
