Faffymum - yes, you are a lucky fish!!
If you get it, don't make the same mistake as I did...you will hear your own heartbeat very low down, just above the pubic bone, apparently there is a main artery. The heartbeat rate should be double yours (almost like a fast steam train). Check this with your own pulse. I found the heartbeat above my pubic bone but more to the left, almost underneath the left hipbone.

Newbiemom - AAAAAHhhhhh noooo!!! That's rough! I really hope you can manage to just stay in bed and rest. Hopefully somebody can help out with your son? Thinking of you!!! Hope you can recover over the weekend. xx

Nelsn - I normally suffer from gastric reflux, so I know exactly what you are talking about. It is horrible. The moment a meal is too big, I suffer...
I also struggle to brush my tongue, it causes a gag reflex (sorry TMI). NOT fun. Hope your son sleeps in a bit over the weekend.

I am so sorry that you are feeling too ill to eat! I can't imagine how horrible that must be! My sister keeps telling me that I should be grateful as well. Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon. Not long now before first trimester is done.

I dont have med aid and previous pregnancy would have done everyth cash at vincent palloti but ended up with homebirth, so I cant help you im afraid...

Ladies I am sick now... in bed and taking antibiotics. Awful fever and chills but trusting that it will get better soon! Renov should finish today... oh boy.

gloie@ how are you doing? Hope you are having a nausea and fatigue free day. So far this morning im ok lets hope it stays that way.

Faffymom@ im so jealous of your hunger and less nausea. If i try eating something that this baby hates i will be sick almost the remainder of the day

it seems my insomnia has given me a break but my nausea isnt 100% gone. After each meal regardless of how small it is , i have to sit up straight or nothing seems to go down.

Faffymum - I can't wait to be really hungry again, can't remember what that feels like? If you are really worried about baby, I would recommend getting the Angelsounds Fetal doppler instrument at baby boom, that way you can check in on baby's heart beat! Great to hear you are managing to continue your yoga!

Newbiemom - hope you are doing ok with all the renovations and sick family!! Good luck for the clean-up - take it sloooooowwwwww!!!

StarryEyed - I hope you managed to get some rest after the flight. Thinking of you with your appointment at 13:00!!! Can't wait to hear all the details.

It seems as if the nausea and tiredness do make a few comebacks. Just when I thought I am "healed" it surprised me a few times again. But at least there is a general improvement most days - Yeah!!

I am feeling alright. I have been nauseous but not too bad. Other than being extremely hungry ALL day long, I am feeling quite normal now. End of the first trimester is a weird stage for me. I don't feel so tired and pregnant so I am worried that everything is still ok or not. Went to yoga last night and I feel great today. energized and slept so well.

I look forward to hearing everyone's stories in this forum

Faffymum!!! Congratulations on both accounts! Exciting but busy times ahead for you. How are you feeling?

Unfortunately I can't help with any hospital recommendations either. Perhaps rather post in the labour and birth section, I am sure other moomie moms will be able to give some advice.

Nelsn, I am so happy to hear that you are getting somewhere with all your searches for a birth team!!

So sorry to hear about feeling so sick, I also found that I tend to be more nauseas if I didn't get a good nights rest. You have my deepest sympathy for having to care for your son while feeling so sick...
