Hi Ladies,

I have also been wondering how everyone is doing...

I had a bit of a rough weekend...In a nutshell: my husband went to a music concert friday night with his work colleagues as part of building good business relationships with his clients (similar to golf...). He promised me he won't drink a lot (he isn't a hard drinker anyways). He had a kidney stone about 2 months ago (the day after we probably conceived) and the sonar revealed that 2 more stones are "waiting" in his kidney...So, in light of this especially he promised that he won't drink as much as he knows the crowd he is going with are hard drinkers (this is the advertising industry...). Saturday morning my husband came back with a 3 cm cut on his head, with a concussion and smelling like booze. Needless to say I was terribly upset in so many ways. He fell during the music concert and hit his head on a nearby step. Although he didn't seem drunk he had drank way more than just 2 drinks. So all of this made the weekend a rather stressful time. My husband apollogised profusely and he said that he won't go with those clients again since they are known to party hard and he doesn't want to put me through the stress and worry again and he agrees that it is ridiculous to do things one would never normally do just to secure future income. So...yes, nothing like a bit of marriage conflict while you are feeling very pregnant and highly emotional...

Otherwise the nausea seems slightly better overall, although I have no appetite and eat only because I know I must.

I am going for my 10 week scan tomorrow at 1:00 with my new doctor. Hope that all will be good.

Nels_n - So exciting that you got to tell everyone - hopefully the responses were all good and filled with well wishes.

Building!! Oh, boy, I cannot imagine dealing with that now! All the dust and noise! Hopefully it won't be too long before they finish? I think my husband is also suffering from my moods and we aren't even renovating...

I am so sorry to hear that you had to find out that your dr. isn't such a good choice...I trust the opinions of the staff at hospitals. With my ectopic all the staff told us that they were scared of my Dr. and she is known "to end your career" is she isn't happy with a specific nurse's protocol. Which resulted in staff refusing to "bother" the scary doctor late at night when there was a real emergency. I think if the staff is negative towards the doctor you won't get the best treatment either. So in a way it is a blessing that they have referred you elsewhere although I can only imagine how frustrated you must be at this point. Overseas one reads about a lot of home births for VBAC's but I wouldn't have the guts to do that either. I think it is already a bit of a stretch and walking on the wild side and that pushing it even further is for serious adrenaline junkies in my opinion.

Newbiemom@ good thing those fruits are in season, I also eat them alot also pears. If I haven't had my fruits by lunch I go crazy.

Gloie@ I hope you more happy days now. I have told my mom and gran, just told all of our friends ,some today.

we busy building and its taking a toll on me. I'm already exhausted but renovating and staying in the house during the Reno is horrible. Dust everywhere. I'm tired, cranky and short tempered too.
poor husband is getting the end of the stick these days.

I try exercise each morning for at least 30+minutes but when I finish I'm exhausted, all I want is bed.

on Tuesday I went to the hospital to view their ward and had a chat to the sister. Who once heard who my gynea was and that I want a vbac told to change my gynea asap. She said I have less chances of success with her, after talking to my gp he also said I must change because she is known for being rude and demanding towards the staff let alone the patients. So now I have made an appointment for the first with the gynea they advised me to see. I'm getting so frustrated, I'm considering having a home birth but the thought of needing a gynea due to emergencies is what stops me in my tracks. So a hospital midwife birth is what I wanted. But it seems finding a provbac gynea us HARD.

StarryEyed - So glad you are feeling slightly better. I remember the cyst pain was a very scary pain. I was so scared that I insisted that the hospital do an ultrasound, which they first refused to do and my husband had to speak to the manager of the hospital because my doctor refused to authorise the sonar....I was so convinced the pain is not normal that we caused quite a scene and then the sonar revealed the cyst that has burst...so, I totally feel for you! You really have had an exceptionally tough time!

I have told my best friend and my one sister but they have sworn secrecy until I give the green light. I have told my 2 bosses since I wanted them to understand if I can't work my regular tempo. But otherwise we haven't told other people as we don't want our little girl to be the last to know. We are planning to tell everyone after next wednesday's scan. Pretty excited to share the news - it has been one of the most difficult secrets I have had to keep!

Ilse - So excited for your scan!!! Not too long anymore...

Oh yes, forgot to say that we haven't told anyone yet. Only two friends of mine know - one because she kept asking me and the other because I needed some advice from her. We are only planning to tell by end Oct when I'll be 13 weeks.

Glad you are feeling better Starry - really terrible all the things that have happend to you, but I think there is light at the end of the tunnel! What type of research do you do? I'm also a researcher

Gloei - I hear you on the extreme dead fatique!! I have also been very nauseous the whole day long every day and the only thing that helps is sleeping.

Today in a week's time we will have our first scan! Excitement!!!! I will be 7w5d then, so we should be seeing a whole lot plus obviously the heartbeat! Can't wait!
