Thanks Gloei... I am feeling a bit better. That excruciating pain I had yesterday from the cyst is gone. My ear infection is gone. So all I am suffering from is the inflamed digestive system... I have now started probiotics so I hope that will kick start the healing. I am feeling cramps and nauseous but so much better than a few days ago! I even managed a short walk today... I was exhausted afterwards but feeling much more positive. I think seeing that heartbeat gave me what I needed to focus on getting better! You should really enjoy your good days... I cannot wait until I have one.
Newbiemom... I did a bit of reading on the internet... We all get a cyst (called a corpus luteum) for the first 6ish weeks to produce progesterone... Once the placenta is formed... The placenta takes over progesterone production and the cysts shrinks... Apparently it does sometimes happen, like in my case, where in the process of shrinking the cyst leaks or bursts... This causes a lot of pain and inflammation around the ovary and a lot of women end up in the ER thinking its appendicitis or a miscarriage. Thank goodness it was not.

hope your nausea is better!
Gloei... I have told my friends in Stockholm, mainly because they know I like my wine and it would have been obvious, because I stayed the weekend with them. I have now told my colleague here that I am working with... Because of how ill I was and worrying about the baby... He needed to translate to doctors for me. I will probably tell my other two colleagues when I am back at work because we are researchers and have some projects planned back home that could be affected by the pregnancy. We have not told our family and friends, my sister is pregnant as well, due in February so we wanted her to have her moment of excitement with my parents. After our 11 week scan we will be telling our friends and family. Have you told anyone yet?
