Aan al die res van die dames ek hoop julle rock die naweek!!!! Die wat verf en aan die babakamer werk sterkte, dis harde werk maar sooooo die moeite werd.

En so is dit ook alweer die einde van nog n week!!!

Ons het n baie besige naweek wat voorle maar sien uit gaan heerlik wees. more n vriendin se ooievaars, aand ook iets aand en sondag ook. Vanaand sommer net saam vriende by die huis braai en kuier.

Haffie - weldone as mens eers begin het gaan dit soveel rustiger... wat jou tyd en kyk jou goedjies goed deur ek het seker 3 keer deur gegaan uit gesit en ja daar was soveel goedjies wat ek nie oor my hart kon kry wat na die minder bevoorregtes moet gaan nie gedink wie weet dalk wurg ek hierdie kleintjie die somer in daardie kleertjies haha. As dit nie gaan werk nie moet dit ook maar skenkings toe gaan

Julle ek het by my ou werk met n boks papier onder die tafel gesit en dit was heerlik sommer net... gelukkig swel my voete nog glad nie. met my oudste en op die stadium "enigste" het my voete na ek gekraam het begin swel so dat my skoene te klein was, maar dit was ook maar net seker vir 2 weke toe is dit ook verby...

Lekker deur mekaar post maar verskoon my maar....

Gloeiwurmpie, i understand your view point, and im agreeing with Irene and Dolla. I would just like to add one thing to your comment to this being a world wide web. If had to go on to a French open blog, will i expect the local groups to write in english and not their native tongue in which they are comfortable jsut because its open to EVERYONE in the world to view? We are not discriminating anyone and that was certainly not our intention. But we all have been chatting together for atleast 6months and we welcome anybody who would like to join us to do so. But we also have a few ladies who specifically joined this group due to the majority being afrikaans as they do struggle with the English forums. Isnt that part of why Moomie was created so everyone can feel welcomed? Shouldn't we accommodate them aswell? There is alot of just English forums that these ladies can not join either because they struggle with English. I personally feel this is a silly can of worms to open. Leeina1 - Please feel free to join our group and we will certainly try our best to make you feel welcome as everyone else that wants to join.

I am confused as to how an English speaking person would feel welcome with an approach of "you can chat away in English" without being able to understand the current conversation on the thread. I find it personally hard to understand how that is not excluding especially if a member expressed that she would like to join your chat but can't understand what you are writing.

The lovely ladies here in this group have mentioned some really helpful suggestions/information for moms going through a pregnancy, what a pity that only a few can benefit from it.

Gloeiwurmpie, I don't think you saw my comment about this? I hope the assumption is not that just because we speak Afrikaans on the group, that we deliberately intend to exclude people. That would be an unfair assumption. I am in the language profession and it is very natural for people to speak in their mother tongue, and it doesn't make it "wrong" to do so. We have 11 official languages. If someone wants to join in the chats, they can just "fall in" and start chatting away in English, I can assure you that nobody would have ignored that person. I don't like the apparent assumption that Afrikaans people are out to get people by excluding them, that is a gross generalisation. Also, there are two people that I know of in this May/June group that are not good in English AT ALL, so I also think it would be unfair to exclude them now by only speaking English to each other.

You will also note that when those of us active in this group ask general questions on the forum, we do so in English - you can check mine out if you want. 3xMom is also very active on the other topics, always giving advice - in English. I would thus def not say that we are intentionally being exclusive and I also do not think it is "wrong" if people want to chat in a language they are comfortable in.

Jy verstaan Afrikaans dus gaan ek daarby hou.

Ons almal kom so goed oor die weg en is meer as bereid om enige vrae wat die bedrokke Moomie Mamma het te antwoord en ook met haar in Engels te gesels sou sy 'n boodskap hier kom skryf. Sy is wel alreeds vanaf September 2014 op die moomie blad geregistreer maar het nog net 5 boodskappe geskryf waarvan 2 op ons groep was.

Gee haar die geleentheid om self met ons te kom gesels.

You would be surprised how many people read each others "Waffle" and "nonsense chat". This is after all an open forum posted on the entire world wide web.

It seems there was indeed a request from a fellow Moomie member who would like to join your "waffle" but can't because she can't understand Afrikaans.
