So glad you and baby are doing well. I'm sorry you had to go through that experience though.
Please let us know how you are doing... Do you know when baby will be allowed to go home?

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have been so quiet, the last few weeks have been quite hectic. Went for my 32week scan and discovered that I have been in labour for a while. Serious contractions that shortened my cervix, but no dilation. Girl layed breech and dr admitted me to hospital.
Had the steroid injections to stim the lung growth and meds to stop contractions. Helped for a few days and then came back. Went on more serious meds to stop contractions, usually stops labour for 7 days. Stopped mine only while on it for 2 days, then I started having allergic reactions to all the meds and drs did another fetal analysis and decided to rather do a csection and get her out because obviously she did not want to be in there anymore

Our little girl was born on Tuesday morning, 33weeks, 1.9kg and 43cm. She is still in NICU buy are doing so well. Got to hold her for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! I am expressing milk every 2-3hrs for her tubefeeding. Everything is going so well and we are so blessed with a terrific support system! Love being her mommy already!

I hope your replacement is a quick learner. Hope they don't call you when you are on maternity leave.

When is your next scan? I'm sure the doc can tell you which way baby is lying. Sometimes the kicks and movements are all over the place so it's hard to tell which position they are in.

I still have until the 14th of July before I go off It seems so far away. I also have to train my replacement from the 1st of July... panicking that she's not going to know enough by the time I go off though!

I went on a tour of Constantiaberg Medi Clinic's maternity ward last night and it made everything seem so much more real! Time really is going quickly now

Which of you ladies know which way baby is lying? I know that I've got feet in my ribs (he gets cross if I bend over and he pushes back into my ribs SO hard until I straighten up) but I really wish I could figure out exactly which body part is where.

Who's reaching maternity leave soon?
I'm still at work. Working till 38 weeks, hope I last. Training my replacement at the moment. Also prefer to have longer time with baby.
