Nixy, so glad the medical aid is paying for everything, it must be a huge relief! Also glad baby is growing well.

I went for my 34 week check-up yesterday. Baby is 2.2kg and growing well. Also got the ok from my doc to work till 38 weeks. Booked my c-section for 25 June.

STill need to pack the hospital bag!! URG.... SO little time left!

Hi ladies

It's been awhile since this thread had any new updates! How is everybody and their bumps?

I went for a scan today - I'm 30 weeks and 4 days. Baby weighs 1.8kgs already! Gynae said that he's a bit ahead of average but it shouldn't be a problem. My only concern is that his head is 2 weeks ahead of schedule, his tummy is 1 week ahead and his legs are on schedule! As my boyfriend says, let's hope he has lots of brains lol

Some great news on my side... medical aid is paying everything! They're covering the doctor's fees of R14000 and they said they will pay the anaesthetist in full. It's such a huge relief as we are moving the 1st of July and there are SO many expenses.

How is everyone feeling?

@Nixy, I do have strange dreams, dream of baby coming earlier, then the next night I dream of having my csection... Maybe its due to the fact that we have a lot going on...

Maries - i know we very lucky. She wasn't busy yesterday so the first time we couldnt see anything she said i must get a sugary drink and walk around a little. SO we went for a quick tour of the maternity ward and afterwards i took 5 min to lay on my side where babs most active and she turned just enough. But im really looking forward to the next one. I just hope she turns, im in so much pain today, because she is laying across my tummy she is probing me all over and hitting my proper in the ribs on the side.

Yes we started we ante natal last week, so far been pretty standard stuff nothing to write home about, but i like knowing everything there is to know and they covering in depth which i like.

Nixy that sounds amazing. We opted for a beach maternity shoot, will try around 35 weeks. I haven't been carrying big, but tummy started to pop out around 25 weeks and im getting huge pretty fast now, so might make it earlier so im not to uncomfortable.

HBwoman, our little man also has his head buried in my pelvis and went further down the more he was poked and prodded. Lucky that you got some pictures though!

Ant, seeing as it's my first I'm wanting to do a maternity shoot in the snow at Matroosberg in Ceres. It's just getting the timing right! Last year we were lucky to spend a night there while it was snowing so hoping to get that lucky this year before baby arrives.

Has anybody had strange dreams/nightmares? I slept so terribly last night - was up every hour and kept having these extremely realistic dreams. It's affecting me badly and I have no idea what to do about it!

SO happy it's "Friday" today. Wish every weekend was a long one!

Hi Ant, I am not doing a maternity shoot. Are you?

Hbwoman, you are lucky to go for the 4d scan again. I went to the femina netcare hospital and they only gave me one scan.
I would also recommend going natural. Are you going for antenatal classes?

I had 2 emergency csections, so I am not taking a chance this time and I want to get sterilised. I think you will have to do what is best for baby when the time comes...
