with regards to meds. be careful for panado in the first 3 months.
the only thing that is definately neccessary for the first 3 months is cramp stuff. for the firts 4 months cramps are a daily adventure.
gripe water worked a bit for G. telement drops didnt work at all, so i dont think i'll get that again.
i gave him tissue salts nr 8 three times a day which helped alot with winds and then should he cry after a feed i gave some gripe water and for the hectic cramps i used Sister lillian Colic care - sister Lillian is a great range for anything and it really works well and fast. and it is homeopathic, so no chemicals involved.
Behoedmiddel also works very well for anything tummy related ( a Lennons product)

i would also recommend Ponstan instead of panado or Neorofen.
and some saline nose spray. they tend to get stuffy noses in the beginning making it hard to feed.
thermometer i would say is neccessary - but you will emediately feel if your baby is getting a fever

so my 4D scan was absolutely AMAZING. what a privileged to be able to see him like this. he is 1,24kg and already 41cm. she recons he will be a average 3,5 kg at birth (which will be awesome for me as this is much smaller than G was) and everything is 100% with his development so far.
he has got big brothers chin and nose and already has lots of hair on his head.

I've also just got the basics for first aid/med kit for baby, thermometer, aspirator etc. Have not bought any meds yet, though. Would be interesting to hear from everyone what they recommend having?

Thanks for the note about takealot specials Ctelly, I'll take a look now. On the note of further shopping - does anyone know what ww should have on hand for a baby first aid/meds kit? I have a thermometer, nasal aspirator, telament drops and panado drops, but what else should I get?

Thanks ladies, I feel okay so far. I have my appointment tomorrow morning so I'll ask Gyn if I can take Viral-Guard Wide-eyed. Shame this lady has am 8 month old baby so they are gonna be testing her baby today.
