file LADIES DUE SEPTEMBER 2015 :-)

My maternity leave starts one week before the due date, which is only because it'll be month-end (end Aug). I was initially planning to work up until the very end, but I'm already feeling so uncomfortable that I can't wait for my week at home. I thought it would make better sense to start maternity leave on the 1st of a month, purely to make it easier for UIF-purposes.

I then have full 4 months maternity leave (but not at full pay!), followed by some annual leave of 2.5 weeks. So I'll be with the baby about 4.5months.

Last time I was also home for a week before the baby was born, and I was so bored that I regretted it. But I also did things far in advance last time, wasn't anything left to do. This time it feels like I have a million small things to do ;)

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is doing well. :) . we are almost there. I cant wait for the month of August to start already as I know after that we will be right at the finish line.

@Vendah I am in the same boat as you we are also going to get a live in nanny which I am also very nervous about because I wonder how is that going to work out and also stressing about what kind of person to look for. Have you already found someone yet and what are you going to look for in a nanny? What's the best age group to look for?

As for maternity leave the HR lady at my work place advised me to try to push to be at work as much closer to the due date as possible. She says that at least that will allow enough time with the baby unlike taking a full month before and waste it around waiting where as I could probably take a week before I am due. Which I thought about but the tricky part about it is making sure that I have everything ready before that time so that the one week I will have at home I can just relax and enjoy the last few days with my baby. So I thought this was good advise as I can only take 4months off work nothing more than that. So I will see how I will be feeling by then but if I get so exhausted I will just leave earlier. So far I am doing good still very energetic during the day but in the evenings I am completely finished and it doesn't help that sleeping right now is just sooo sooo uncomfortable. but few more weeks it will be over. Its so exciting.

Hi Girls,

Sorry I've been so quiet, we are going through an exceptionally busy time at work (jan/feb and jun/july are our two hectic periods). Things will quiet down in another 2 weeks and I'll be back on the forum regularly.

Glad to hear you are all doing well, also still ticking along on my side. Started my nursery too, basically painted the walls & moved the furniture in. Still need to do curtains and decor but getting excited!

My stork party is this saturday, can't believe it. 6 more weeks for me!

Hi Ladies

How have you all been>

Welcome to the new Moms/Moms to be ... :)

Gladbeth: i have no clue but i would imagine it wont be a hassle... The new Dr can request all the bloods done from the blood bank you went to and he can even request a copy of your file. you did pay for it really...
Goodluck!

Vendah: No idea regarding yoga video. Try google.. Youtube has lots of videos for free as well

I had my 32 week check up yesterday. Went well. I also had to see the hospital clinical nurse to put my hospital file together so when i go in, it will be done...
ladies: do any of your hospitals use their own infant clothes and only request an outfit and blanket to go home in? This one says they use all their stuff including toiletries for baby and the only thing i need is wetwipes, a container for the free dummy, and IF i want to bring my own nappies i can else they have their own. I just need a set of clothes and blanket to take him home with... i found that weird.. :/

My Dr also asked me to think about birthing options. i said natural and whichever takes the least amount of needles really to which i chuckled. he then said i must remb how much i suffered the last time and to think carefully about this.. i feel he was leaning toward a c sect so i dont suffer but im petrified... i am stressing already!!!
My Nursery is pretty much done.. its so exciting... we absolutely love it! i cant believe this is all coming together... so nerve wrecking but exciting at the same time..

We have also opted to do stem cell storage. i am just too scared given my history. i think im more paranoid than anything.. and because it was an option , i feel like if i dont do it and i need it, i will never forgive myself... i duno ladies. its really expensive and not that i can easily afford it but if i have to make a plan and do it i will...

anyway thats my story for the week...

last night i was having period like cramps and lower back ache. my pelvic muscles killed me. anyone else having that?? i got scared cos i thought early labour but it wasnt...

have a great day ladies...
