Vendah, I also fell down stairs about 3 weeks ago and cried like a baby, not because of being so banged up, but because of what could have happened to our little bundle if I had landed wrong. My knee is still pretty bruised and skinned, but at least it's starting to properly heal up now.
I've started with my hospital bag, but can't seem to finish it as I also need to wait for my babyshower before I go out to buy anything more. I'm thinking it will be in the next two weeks or so, but I might be wrong. I'll probably have a separate babyshower at work in the next 3 weeks as my last work day before maternity leave will be the 14th of August. Looking forward to these experiences...it's such a special time!
Bought myself some maternity bras at
Baby City on Friday, the
Carriwell Seamless Drop Cup Nursing bras. VERY, VERY nice and supportive, and SOOO comfortable, with lots of stretch left for when my milk comes in! I also struggle to find pyjamas that button up, so bought myself two
Peek-A-Moo T-shirts to wear in hospital instead - they are made especially for nursing and I won't have to expose my belly / chest to breastfeed. They also have short sleeves so I'll be able to wear them in summer as well (if I manage to breastfeed that long). They're pretty pricey (I paid R225 each) but if you're interested, you can have a look at
www.peekamoo.com/index.html.
I will be 34 weeks tomorrow - in a maximum of 7 weeks I will finally hold my little angel in my arms!! Scared out of my mind, but also SOOO excited!
Girls, we're ALMOST THERE!!
