Morning ladies
Yes, the Boks were not really on their game last night from what I saw of the first half (not that I know much at all about rugby

) I don't think we would have won if Wales had not conceded so many penalties
@Aden - good luck to make it to 13 November. I was worried about making it to 2.5 weeks before the due date (and then just under two weeks before c-section). Towards the end I was so "over it" and spent so much time daydreaming

But I guess the kids at school keep you too busy for much far-away gazing.
@Juanita - that verse is beautiful. I still want to get a Winnie the Pooh quote for her wall: "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever”
@LouiseM - now that I'm on the laptop, I see that you also have pushed out belly piercing holes

My belly button is looking a bit more like it used to now, but the piercing exit hole is still outside of the "well".
As far as expressing goes, no I'm not expressing (yet). At antenatal class it was recommended to only start expressing after 4 weeks when supply is more established UNLESS there is a need to (as in Zandri's case). One of the books I read said to let baby do all of her sucking on you and avoid dummies, but I'm ignoring that one since guidelines for SIDS prevention say that a baby that falls asleep with a dummy usually goes into a deeper sleep (although El seems to doze off after/towards the end of feeding so I think that covers that aspect) faster and it is thought to help baby improve cardiac control. Aside from the fact that letting a baby "dummy suck" on the boob can also aggravate sore/sensitive/damaged nipples - midwife said she's seen women where the nipple is almost detached (as in loosely hanging off of the breast

) from incorrect latching and "dummy sucking" on the boob. There are a lot of guides saying to avoid dummies also until breastmilk is properly established because it can interfere with supply, but I'm not giving her the dummy much and only when she won't take anything more from the boob first. Anyway so I'm holding off on expressing for now, just letting El set the pace. The last couple of feeds she's only needed from one side again, we'll see how she goes through the day. The book also said it's important to let baby feed as much and as often as she wants, especially in the first few days to help with the letdown reflex, it did make mention of expressing but cautioned that one shouldn't be over-zealous as you might be telling your body that you need to feed twins instead of one and then you might have engorgement problems (along with mastitis, etc as a result). So that's why I think it's recommended to hold off a little, let baby determine how much is needed until the milk is properly established and then start expressing along with feeding so it's easier for your body to adjust according to demand? The demand will increase/decrease as baby goes through growth spurts and such so it's probably a regulation thing. I hope that helps? I'm so grateful I haven't had engorgement, just a bit of sensitivity. The nurses said it's probably good latching that's prevented any discomfort or bleeding.
I've brought our list up again, included Juanita's induction date... I hope we hear from Candypops!
