Ag no Kimmy, sounds like hubby is wound up a bit too tight! No reason for him to take it out on you though!! Hope he comes home in a better mood tonight!! A new phone would definitely be last on my list of things to do too!!

I'm so exhausted, i swear I could take 2 naps every day!! Atleast my temp is coping nicely and seems to get the hang of things so ive been working half days mostly. But when i get home there is still no rest for the wicked especially with a 5 year old running around and supper and and and. Definitely going to enjoy some quiet time!!!

@clueless you are right, in my case i dibt even remember anything in terms of bonding with my lb after birth :S
The nurses at genesis always had him at night , and will bring him for feeds so that i can rest. During the day there were visitors and drs coming in and out. So the bonding only started at home.

Am constipated, and its not fun, however my dr did mention that it might happen, and after this i might get diarrea which i pray i dont get to experience that.

My dh is not talking to me, actually i dont care . Yesterday he wanted me to browse through samsung and get the phone that i want, i never replaced that phone i lost ive been using this small samsung phone, and the truth is i have no issues with it since i got a tablet. Now he came and gave me some paper with the website name, but i was on the phone booking my car for a service, then i phoned him since i did not get to talk to him, what must i do with the paper. He shouts and says that i must choose a phone so that he can go get it for me, and that he cant think for me. Ok so i say to him that last statement was not necessary at all, and the shouting. He apologised and as usual his blaming the pressure at work.(lol i guess i wont understand)
He said Will talk about it when he gets home, when he got here i didnt ask , he kept quiet too and watched cnn. I slept.

So again, what was i supposed to do with a moody person like that, ask him how his day was?why is he upset.
Am also going through my own dilemmas, my body us damn sore, and honestly getting a new phone is the least of my priorities right now. :(

As julle more huis toe gaan.... geniet julle surprise vanaand!

@PP and Clueless
Thanks for that Clueless, I felt the same and felt to ashamed to mention it... but now I feel a lot better. I am in Awe with my precious girl and I do love her and would do everything for her, but that bond has not yet happened. I do not have the baby blues at all, in fact I feel great. I did read in a book, that the first weeks to a month, baby will suckle with their eyes closed in order to concentrate on drinking, which causes them to fall asleep, but as they grow older they will have mastered the drinking and will start opening their eyes and look you straight in the eyes and THAT is when the bonding actually happens. They might have their eyes open now as well, but they can't really focus on the eye contact as all their focus and attention is on concentrating to suckle. Cara is only now starting to be a little more responsive but not much, but I will be patient, at least she would stop crying the moment I have her in my arms... even DH says that it is something only a mommy can do ;) Talk about crying.... she is calling me now for a feed.

Chat later girls!

Hi ladies,

Zandri hy is pragtig! Lyk actually soos n klein bulletjie!

PP, from what I remember, the pain starts getting better from today, just hang in there! Please dont be hard on yourself about bonding. In my experience, and from what I gathered from other moms AFTER the birth of my first, not everyone bonded immediately. In fact, it was only the case for about half the moms I spoke to, and it didnt seem like it was dependent on natural birth/c-sect. And I am convinced that a lot of ladies just feel ashamed and don't admit that they didnt feel bonded immediately.

I didn't feel that whole "wave of indescribable love" for my little girl in hospital, or even soon after. Its not that I had baby blues, and I didn't feel that I didn't want my own baby. Breastfeeding went well and everything was a very positive experience. I felt protective and awed by her and responsible for her. But as for true love for my child, for me, that developed only later, once I got a little peak of her little personality and she could start responding to me. I just think people love differently and develop bonds in different ways and we should not be so hard on ourselves to match up to other people's ideas. Just my two cents on that ;)

My dokter se ek ek kan more huis toe gaan.

Zandri hy is absoluut GORGEOUS!!! So pragtig!!!
