He looks so good, Zandri!! Glad you're doing better - I admire you moving around so much, but I think your motivation was that much stronger!
@Kimmy - sterkte! I'm exhausted this morning! El wanted to feed a lot last night and when finished I asked a nurse to settle her cause I needed to brush my teeth and wash my face. And then (TMI) my tummy started working (overtime) after passing so much gas. Then I jotted down notes about my day and experiences and wanted to go to sleep... Only to have the "roommate" snoring. Badly. She eventually woke up to tend to her baby and took the chance to fall asleep before she started again! Then I woke up 2 hours later, caught El rooting so fed her again before she got upset. I've asked DH to try come earlier than visiting hours so he can cuddle with his girl and maybe I'll get some extra rest.
Otherwise am moving around a lot better. Feeling a lot more confident; breastfeeding is going well (blood sugar is within range!), managed to change a nappy (DH has done all but two changes, others were done by nurses in my "no movement" state) and much easier to get up a walk around. Am quite emotional though, in awe of this little person! It all felt to surreal on Tuesday and I felt ashamed that I didn't feel as bonded with her, but am just so amazed by her now.
And I got sent beautiful flowers and chocolates (locally) from my best friend in France - so special.
Hope everyone has a good day. And no one affected by that bridge collapse in JHB
