Hi mommies,
Wow, our little thread is busy!! So much happening!
All the moms who have gone for scans, those are SO beautiful! It somehow makes it so much more real, doesn't it? My 4D scan is only next week, at 30-31 weeks. Hold thumbs!
On the clothes, I really have not started buying anything. Apparently my SIL is holding a baby shower for me at some point, so I will wait and see what I need after that. My first LG was born at 2.8kg, and wore newborn clothes for a month or more, and she is still petite, though now quite tall. However, all indications that this little one will be big. At 24 weeks she measured 840g and this Monday, at 29 weeks, she measured just shy of 1.4kg

I haven't picked up more than average (about 7.5kg) and am not carrying very big, so now I'm very worried she will be a big-boned little girl, and take after my MIL

I know it sounds terrible, but I am myself almost 1.8m tall and I know how it feels to always be bigger than your friends. And I'm still considered petite for my height! My MIL is a bit taller than me, and she is truly beautiful, but she is quite a large, big boned woman, with wrists thicker than my husband's. I guess I'm just being a typical, emotional, pregnant woman now
I really do hope that everything for us will also come off "in hospital" as we are only on one of Discovery's hospital plans(luckily it covers up to 300% rates for specialists). Instead of a medical savings option, we try to save money for medical day-to-day expenses every month in a normal bank account. It works out a bit cheaper this way, and we get more out. Otherwise the medical savings expires anyway around September every year, and we have to pay out of our pockets anyway.
LAdies, Edgars has a 75% sale on today and tomorrow. Is anyone going? I thought to go look for some curtains for the nursery, and maybe some clothes, over lunchtime (I work reasonably close to Eastgate).
Anyway, have a wonderful rainy, snuggly weekend!
