Good morning ladies!

Happy new year to you all!! May this year be full of blessings, happiness and laughter!!

I have not logged in for a long time how are you all doing and your babies?? How is the feedings going?

I cannot believe my little one is 8 months old already! He started crawling 2 weeks ago and is now everywhere lol!!! last week he decided he wants to stand up against everything. Looks like our little man is in a hurry! We are still taking it very slowly with the solid food still on basically 2 solids a day I am thinking soon we will add another solid to the daily plan. Does anyone know if you can give watermelon and eggs to a 8 month old?

Baby has developed a very clinginess to mommy the last two weeks. He is not happy till he is in my arms even following me wherever I go in the house lol! Allot of times even daddy is not what he wants just mommy! Anyone else experience this? Could it be a phase?

End of the month we have another clinic appointment and then he gets a 9 month injection shame! I really don't like clinic visits! The sister we go to gives different advice everytime so tend to confuse me allot. Two months ago according to her Connor was not getting enough milk and then last month she told me I need to reduce his bottles while I am at work to just one bottle and then he must just drink once from me when I get home from work and maybe once in the morning before work. And also said I need to increase his solids allot like three big meals and two snacks. I decided to ignore that as I think that is waaaay too little milk for a baby under 1. And besides he just loves his milkies too much! Wonder what she will say this time??

I am thinking of themes for Connor's first birthday party...any ideas??

Hi Ladies,

Wow time is flying and my little one is 7 months tomorrow

Have any of you started any traditions yet been it festive or otherwise?

We put up the Christmas tree on the 1st December and will be doing so every year. Going to do the whole milk and cookies for Father Christmas and some carols too :)

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I trust all is going well with everyone and their little ones.

We are officially teething, I can already see one bottom tooth. I am just so thankful that she is not sick or anything, still sleeping well, and laughing as always. I've heard some scary stories about the teething stage, but for us so far so good.

She also gets on her all fours now, so I assume crawling is not too far away as well. She can crawl backwards but hasn't quite figured out how to go forward.

I am definitely getting her a cute lil outfit for Christmas. We are spending our Christmas in Lesotho, Maseru with my in-laws, quite excited about that.

@ jay-bee, 1st birthday is soooo far away!! I'm a very last minute person!
The 1st Birthday is more for the parents than the child!
My suggestion keep it easy at home, and not too fussy for the baby.

It's so cute that your little ones are trying to crawl! My daughter just prefers rolling onto her back when I put her onto her tummy!!

@sonsbaby, I'd say just make sure you are hydrated and not hungry!

@jay-bee, if you can get to maitland, the stickyfudge factory shop always has cute stuff. I got the girls matching dresses!
I haven't had any issues with the knees. Could it be from your back problems and aggravated with the pregnancy?
@svdw, I know what you mean about the year running away!! May 2016 feels like it was "just the other day!!

Apologies if this is TMI, have you breastfeeding ladies got your periods? And what contraceptive are you using?

And does any1 have a baby carrier? Would you recommend it? I had a wrap, but it's waaay too hot! And my daughter is heavy!! Constantly have a stiff neck, back, hip and arm pain from carrying her!! End up at physio every 2nd month!!

Sonsbaby - As for the supply rehydration is your biggest friend  I also drank juggle juice or my version of it ; 1L apple juice energade made in 1L water or even berry juice syrup made in a litre, 1 rehydrate, 2 litter water or rooibos tea with blackthorn elixir and rescue drops when needed. Days that is don't have everything I even just add a rehydrate to my water bottle you cant believe the wonders it does.
I also see that eating muesli on anything oatsy makes my supply double!!!!
HOPE THIS HELP GOOD LUCK :woohoo:

As for Christmas nothing special planned and I agree something that make a noise and may small stuff .

AFM no leave     - working the whole of December just off over Christmas 3 days and then working new year      12h shifts the 31-1st of Jan what a way to start my new year.
Tc is so cute he is no also trying to crawl with little success and just backwards that makes him so mad :P . My eldest is almost done with gr1 time flies and with the pregnancy and everything that happened this year it feels as if I missed some of 2016.

@ Sons, I can't help with any tips as my milk supply was non existent from the beginning :(
Rosalie is also on all fours and swaying back and forwards then pushes off but only goes about 5cm but almost there. It so cute watching them trying to figure out how to use their legs :P

Hmm not sure what I will get her although she loves anything that she can bash against the floor which makes noise so anything in that line that can make some noise. Ooh good question, I need to get her a nice Christmas outfit as we are having a huge all family get together which will be the first time in 3 years. Looking maybe for a cute dress type with some short legging but not sure, I will go and look at Woolies.

DO any of you ladies have weak knees after birth? My knees feel so weak that hard trying to walk up stairs or to bend. Seeing the doc next week
