Hi Sonsbaby, it would be really nice to catch up with the other ladies from the April/May pregnancy group.
I'm also a FTM, my little girl was born on 20 April 2016. She went for her 6months check up on Tuesday and her Dr couldn't be happier with her development. I introduced her to solids when she turned 5 months with store bought purees. And she took it like a champ. I have increased her food menu a bit since she turned 6 months. I've added cereal, porridge, baby juice and yoghurt.
I returned to work begging of October, she's on formula during the day and I breastfeed at night and during weekends (I tried pumping and it was just not working out for me).
Luckily my baby is not fussy, she literally takes everything I give her.
As a FTM I was also terrified by the solid stage, what do I give my baby, how will she react to certain things, do i buy the most expensive and organic stuff (cause you only want the best for your baby right), should i make my own freshly made baby food? All these questions were going through my mind all the time. I felt so much pressure. But when it came down to it, I just went and bought the ordinary stuff and baby and I couldn't be happier.
I reminded myself that there is no right or wrong, just do whatever works for you.
