I would love to have a natural birth but having had two c/s already, finding a doc that will support me will be almost impossible. The specialist today told me that even if I go into labour that they wont let me even try for a natural birth b/c the chances of uterine rupture are so big after 2 c/s's. So I have made peace with the fact that I will have to have another and will have it with my same doc at the same hospital. Will need to try something different in 2 ways, 1. I got the most horrible UTI with both of my deliveries b/c of that damn catheter (honestly think the devil invented those things) to the point where I had to go on pretty strong antibiotics b/c it would not clear so need to do something different there and 2. I get horrible keyloid scars, so was thinking of getting a pastic surgeon in to maybe close me up so that we can try something different to not get it so badly. Other than the recovery which is really not great, my deliveries were fine.

To those of you who can have a natural birth DO IT!!! Our bodies are made for delivering babies! And dont let a doc use scare tactics to get you to do a c/s if you dont wan tone, rather get a doc that will support your choices!!

@Carien, I'm so so happy for you! You finally get your girl! I'm sure you are ecstatic! :cheer:

So I found out I am having twin girls. I could see it even before the tech could. I felt okay during the scan and she did a thorough check on everything and babies are healthy and everything looks good. The were so busy and I could see the fingers and toes clearly. It really was amazing. BUT, I am sad. :(

I am sad and disappointed because I know my hubby's been praying for a boy. We were so sure God will bless us with a boy. Things have been going so wrong for him the last year and he is just not coping with it all. I don't think he is going to cope with this. And I can just imagine how our family and friends will be mocking us now! I know I shouldn't care, but it hurts so bad.

I am grateful that the girls are healthy and that they are growing so nicely. I just don't know how to deal with this. And I'm dealing with it on my own. I can't tell my DH. He will find out at our next scan. How do I prepare him?

I'm sorry about this post, I'm not trying to make anyone negative. I'm just sad.

DH: 33
DD1: 7yrs (our beautiful ballerina)
DD2: 3yrs (our little tornado! :-))

Morning ladies, hope everyone is well.

I had my NT scan this morning and everything looks good. Chances of down syndrome and the other two syndromes most common are very low, we are not recommended to go for further testing...AND doc is 90% sure ITS A GIRL!!!

We are really excited. With both my boys it was very clear quite quickly that they were boys, this one the nub was very clear as well. I am not a doc but I have studied and scrutinized MANY nub pictures and I am pretty comfortable to agree that this is a girl. We are really so excited, relieved as well...my oldest has been praying so hard for a baby sister, I think he will be the happiest!

I dont really put stock in different pregnancies = different genders, my first two were so completely different we were convinced he was a girl and trust me he is allllll boy. Not saying its not possible, just think its something that you should put less stock in.

Anyway, I am still floating a bit and hoping to get SOME work done today :) Hope you ladies have a great day also!!

PS: will post some pix later

@ Sparky, beautiful pic of baby. I am 7w and just can't wait for my scan next week Friday.

@ Carien, the Babydust method does narrow your chances. I have a little girl and sure she was conceived a few days leading up to O. You must be so excited about your scan today and holding thumbs for your little girl!
Haha kids do the weirdest things and one can only laugh, although I am sure it was not fun cleaning up. Maybe he is ready for potty training? Rosalie started doing that in the beginning and now fully potty trained since last month at 19/20 months.
Ooh please post a pic of baby, FX.

@ Reece, oh yes I remember. The swaying for boy is just a few times to BD so we also BD every second day this cycle. Are you still going for the scan?

AFM, this pregnancy is the total opposite to my little girl where I craved fruit, salads, biscuits with no queasiness and everything went so smoothly. With this one I don't even want to look at fruit or salads and feel "car sick" on and off during the day. I just want to eat, pasta, bread and soup with loads of salt. Totally unplanned but we BD the exact same days and with my first so even though I am thinking hey this could be a boy as my preggy symptoms are so different it will most probably be a girl... Only time will tell

Was also wondering if Chanti is OK, hope all is well :)

So I got the eating plan from the dietician but I really dont know what to do with it. Its not like I can eat pretty much anything on it at the moment. The thought of food just puts me off, but then the thought of a structured meal is 10 times worse! Lets hope I start feeling better in my 2nd trimester to be able to at least eat a little bit better. My most recent thing that makes me vomit is water...the water at my office to be specific. They use borehole water and its filtered and treated and all those nice things, but it just tasts funny, whether its from the tap or the water cooler, just makes me vom...really dont need water to make me vom so I have taken to bringing water to the office. At least the water from my house (good ol' fashioned CoJ water) seems to work still, lets hope it keeps on working...but I swear, today something will be fine, tomorrow it will put me off or make me vomit. Really looking forward to a little more stability WRT food...I know I need to eat regularly, but I just dont feel like food.

Anyway, I will scan the eating plan at the office tomorrow and send it along, maybe you ladies are able to eat a little better than me, its tailored to a pregnant woman, so should be good for all of us. She told me if I am still hungry to eat more, but to try not to overdo it

Hahahahahah Carien! You just made me laugh with that story! Oh my goodness, the shit that the kids get themselves into - literally!
TBH, I have a slight panic attack almost every day when the reality of being pregnant hits me. I usually get it as I climb into bed. Because as you, I am also struggling with sleeping. I can fall asleep fairly quickly, but in between the toilet trips (3-5 times a night) and hubby shifting in bed like a rhinoceros doing heaven knows what! And my 3 year old having nightmares, I am also not getting enough sleep. I struggle to get back to sleep after I'm awake so I'm thinking to myself - what the heck am I going to do with 2 newborns??? I love my sleep! But I try to quickly replace it with other thoughts.

@Jay, if you can remember I also tried swaying for a boy and just never got pregnant so we just dtd every 2nd day like we normally do. The OPK's I used was cheap and didn't work either, but according to my CM and cramping, I think we hit the target!
Sorry to hear about the horrible sickness over the weekend. It will soon be over (I hope). Just keep hydrated! It worked for me. I drink a lot of fruit juice and ice water. Yay, not too long before your next scan. :-)

@Sparky, aaawww the scans are so cute. So happy to hear all is well. Ooh this MS is getting everyone down these days! Just hang in there. I also struggle with cucumber and also had an apple yesterday that tastes awful! I threw it away after 2 bites. Well it seems I'm also going to stay with disposables as hubby refuses to do the cloth. I'm just okay with whatever!

Where is Chanti? She is way too quiet! ;)
