Good morning Ladies! Finally back!
I had such trouble logging in with my phone and was really frustrated to not be able to update you on my scan.
I went on the 15th Dec and doc was a little bit concerned as babies were measuring a week behind. I was suppose to be 8 weeks and Baby A measured 7w1d and Baby B 6w6d. She gave me some meds for nausea to try and help to keep the food down. I actually don't vomit that much but I have no appetite either. I try to eat small amounts every now and again only because my low blood sugar is giving me hassles. Sill cant stomach meat and most veggies. I eat a lot of fruit though. I have lost about 3kg's this holiday which is not good!
My next appointment is tomorrow so then doc will see how baby's measure and we will hear the heartbeats. I will probably also see the specialist then.

I'm so glad everyone is doing well!
@Jay-Bee so happy to see you here! Congrats on the BFP! Sorry to hear about the little bit of spotting. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about. Some women do spot throughout their pregnancy. Keep us updated on the blood results.

@CarienM - So sorry to hear about the nausea and vomiting. I remember those days with my other two girls! Whatever went in my mouth, came out not long after. And it is a horrible feeling! I hope you fell better soon. Doc gave me some amazing stuff that works so fast. Zofar and the generic is Vomiz 4. It is quite expensive but it works! Maybe you can ask your doc.

@Chanti - so happy to hear you are doing well. We all get those days where we just feel offish. I had quite a few of those over the holidays. Luckily I could take a nap every now and again and it helped a lot. I will be suffering at work!

So a little update on my emotional wellbeing... I'm sorry for the things I'm about to say because I know that all babies are miracles and we are blessed beyond comprehension, but please just bear with me.

I have been feeling so disconnected with this pregnancy. I haven't had the desire to think about it or talk about it. I have actually been such a bad person in the way that I have been handling and thinking about this pregnancy. It's not that I wish them gone or wish them any harm, I just don't know how to feel about it. I hate this feeling!
With my previous pregnancies I couldn't wait to read about the pregnancy weeks and updates. I counted the days until my next scans.
I keep telling myself that as soon as I know what gender they are I will feel better.

Ladies, please pray for me. I don't want to feel this way. Hubby and I spoke about our feelings and it helped a little.
I don't want to feel this anxious, scared feeling. I want to be excited!

Morning ladies, hope everyone had a good weekend. Its has been record high temp's in JNB, so we are just trying to keep cool.

I had a whole 4 days of non-vomiting...HAD being the operative word here...vomiting sucks, but vomiting on a completely empty stomach I think is worse :( would not recommend it!

I was finally able to get through to the clinic this morning and got an apt for the 24th, very happy about that! So get this, with our first son, we did this exact same scan at pretty much the exact same time and it cost R1295. Roll almost 2 years forward for our 2nd son and the same scan cost R2310. This one, again the same scan, same place everything R3030!! I just think its amazing how the prices for things change! And then we will be lucky to get maybe half of that back from medical aid which kills me even more!!

Anyway, I have to head out, going to see my mother for her birthday (and she is feeling particularly sorry for herself on her birthday so thought it would be nice to go see her.

Hope everyone is doing well otherwise :)

@Jay - I'm trying not to count down the sleeps!! Our scans will be here before we know it though. Your level is perfectly fine, don't stress! The brown spotting is fine, perhaps add a progesterone test in when you do your next BETA today and that will give you peace of mind. Even if you have already done the test you can phone and ask them to please add progesterone to it. Cramping is also totally normal, I'm cramping today still! If you get pink spotting then maybe give your doc a ring and he can just check you out but the most you could do is go onto progesterone.

How are the rest of you ladies?? You are so quiet!

@ Chanti, how exciting as the 25th is just around the corner. I have my 8 week scan on the 2 Feb.

AFM, I went for a blood test today and it was a level of 148 at 14DPO and will be going on Monday again just to see if it is doubling.
:tmi: I have been spotting twice a day with a very little brown colour stretchy mucus with slight cramps for the past few days, is this normal as a bit concerned?

Oh I completely forgot to answer that question, well with my first pregnancy the baby's heart rate at 7 weeks was 160bpm and this one was 142bpm so I'm thinking a little lazy boy this time around. With the last scan it went up to 173bpm but I think the old wives tale is based on the earlier scan. I was convinced my first one was a boy but we couldnt quite tell when we checked and now with this one i kind of have my money on a boy again, hubby has his money on a girl though! We won't be finding out, will keep it a surprise! My next scan is 13 weeks on 25 Jan :) I can't remember have you booked yours yet? I think you said it will be 8 weeks.

@ Carien, with my first and only little girl I was so convinced it was a boy. It was not planned but I checked and we BD the same days with her that we did now but I am not sure what to feel. My hubby would like a little girl as she is such a little daddys girl but I have heard that the boys tend to be more close to their mommys, for that reason I would maybe like a boy but girls are so adorable too. I think that it will be a girl again.

@ Chanti, when is your next scan?
