wow febr09 mamma.. we are currently staying in De aar in the northern cape, we hav a 15month old LB..we might be moving to Bethelehem. hubby got a job offer there at eskom..but im so scared, we only drove through bethlehem once and i liked what i saw, but never thought of staying there, and i dont know anything about bethlehem. hubby and i love moving and meeting new people. but i think i got so attached to this place. im scared to go to bethelehem, coz here its like we have everything sorted already..my main problem would be our dogs, here we have someone to look after them when we go on holiday. we take them to my friend. would there be someone that might be able to do that for us. what can you tell me about that town

Hi Dee
Well I take my hat off to you.
So far along with baby no2 and a 16 month creating havoc!!
Don't know about yours, but my LG is too busy and just wants sooooo much attention from us. We just don't get a chance to take a break.
I can't imagine being pregnant at the same time.

Tantrums - oh yes! We had our first official one about 2/3 weeks ago. It lasted for about 45 minutes. I just did not know what to do anymore. I tried everything. Hugging, cuddling, time out in her room and her in cot, left her in her room, talked to her nicely - nothing worked. Eventually the only way I got her to calm down was put her in the bath....
(Shame I think she was tired and it all kind of went out of control from there....)
I hope that is not a sign of what is to come, although she knows how to cry to get her own way. And she has dad wrapped around her finger
;)

Food - She has pretty much anything we have.
Bottle when wake up - porridge at school, toast at tea time with either milk (formula), tea or juice. then lunch at school (lasagne, spaghetti, stew, veggies etc), purity fruit bottle in the afternoon with something to drink. Yoghurt and then dinner (normally whatever we have - if it is spicy I take some out for her before i add the spices.) bottle jsut before bed.

I am looking for dinner ideas though - so any hep will be welcome?

Your pic is not posted here.....
I don't know how to post pics on this forum.
send me your email address and i will forward some pics.

Hi Monica,

I know that feeling hey.... they talk and talk and give these serious expressions but you havent a clue what they are saying ;-) its awesome!

Thanks for the well wished....still not sure I am going to do this, but guess there really is only one way to find out ;-)

And I can tell you Monica that I also at times wished I was pregnant again, but not anymore! At 35 weeks I am wishing this baby out already LOL

Well I am a little bit of a lazy mom, and I buy home cooked toddler meals.

This lady delivers fornightly and has the most tasty meals!! You place your order a few days before the time, and the choices you have meals like mac n cheese, Lentil cottage pie, beef stews, etc.... and as I said, they are tasty!

And they are healthy and cost effective..

What do you normally give your LO's?

Either of them showing signs of temper tantrums yet? Nothing too hectic yet from my side, but she does make a big fuss if she doesnt get her way......

I am a lttle worried about her reaction when the new LO comes.....

Here is an updated pic of her....... send me some pics as well ;-)

Hey there

My LG was born on 7th Feb 2009.
I have been emailing Feb 09 Mamma for about a week now.
Lets try and keep this post going....
(I know it does not always last)

Just a bit about me and baby.
She was born via c-section at 36 weeks. Weighed 3.2kg and 53cm. she did not need icu or anything like that.

She loves her dummy now.
I struggled (and still do sometimes) to get any fluids into her - not a big drinker.

She started walking at 10/11 months. Almost runs now.
She also has lots of conversations with us - heaven only knows what she is saying... too cute!

She loves music and loves to dance - takes after her mom!! (Back to the jolling days).

I am in JHB.

Dee - congrats on the pregnancy. Somedays I wish i were pregnant (more so than not) but i just don't know how will cope with 2 small little ones.
We might look at No 2 at the end of the year...

My LG also only weighs about 10/11kg.
She has jsut been so sick - tonsilitus and gastro all at once so I am sure she has lost some weight.

What do you give your LO's to eat?
