Lauren - just picturing the shoving of the banana! Lol Tadhg does things like that, one time he got hold of a little tub of sweets and shoved them all in his mouth every time he tried to talk one popped out which upset him more so more popped out it was so funny to watch!

Misty - She is in Southern Subs, but you could call her if you wanted? but not sure if she'd travel that far - as she normally au pairs for a family but babysits when they are away or don't need her in the evenings. Let me know if you want her number.

2kid - Lol about the cookies! Tadhg does that too, he makes his way into the kitchen and points where he knows the biscuits are and bounces at you till you give in! Cheeky.

I don't seem to have an issue with Tadhg eating, he eats like a horse. Seriously you can feed him till he is full then make yourself something and then he'll want from your food, then ask for more, he is constantly eating but not heavy at all, guess he burns it all off being so active? He is only about 10kgs and about 85cms tall.

Kimika - Hiya - how's the ttc going? seems you all have had a few nice BFPs that side?

My daughter who does eat fishfingers just loves the Woolies ones, she is not mad about the I&J but I know the new one you are talking about, it is fortified with Omega 3 & 6 so it's good. I havn't tried Chicken ones yet. I just don't think Reece likes the crumbs. I like the Couscous Idea though (Thanks Kimika), he loves rice mostly so he should like Couscous and he loves Mince but doesn't like chicken or other Red meat.

Jensen doesnt like the normal fish fingers, I&J brought out fish fingers that have a crisp coated batter that tastes like chips and he LOVES those.

We have tried over and over again to give him our food and he refuses so we have to keep it basic.

DH is convinced that we need to start giving "our" foods to him, but I cant exactly force him to eat now can I?

Well as for the eating.. story of my life.. *sigh* He is tiny, only about 8.8kg now so Im desperate to have him eat more. But he just munches here and there. It not that he is fussy but just has a small appetite! Some days he would eat like a monster and then I think "at last"! But then the next day back to nibbling. He loves toast with peanut butter and also loves "wosie" which is either droewors ( I pull off the skin) or I cook those thin boerewors and cut up, freeze and just defrost pieces. He also does the stuffing his face with food. He has 12 teeth, so chewing is possible, but still needs to learn to control quantity of food he stuffs in

Also mine wont eat the fishfingers but I buy him the chicken ones and just remove some of the crust. He loves them.

After he had a good meal I will reward him with a biscuit or piece of rusk. He gets very excited for that and says *koekoe*

I noticed that he loooves couscous and its so easy to prepare, so I just defrost a block of frozen pre-prepared mince and add some purity veg if I havent got cooked.

So yes, I have a full day just trying to get him to eat

Misty yes i am from cape town. been in kzn since december and mostly hate it. im coming home next month for two weeks and honestly can't wait.

im using pansarol for my sons teeth and panado if he keeps waking up every 5 min at night.

Hi. karatemum i forgot to say that i hope that you are ok now. my mom has also landed up in hospital with ashma. my son used to love purity veg til i gave him the real thing and then one day he stopped eating veg and still refuses to eat veg. fruit he loves and yoghurt. he eats tuna, peanut butter, pasta and egg. he sucks chicken and spits it out. my son's cousins were hitting him yesterday but on the whole he had fun according to my husband. they came home as such last night after 9pm.
