Fawhaway - Tadhg is in our room too, we only have a 1 bed flat so no choice. But no tv in the room - my mum always was so against that growing up so I never did it even now I don't live with her! Can you not have the tv in the living room?

Lauren - Sorry about all the hassles you have had, goodness what a day! But glad Jensen is ok, but not so great that you already knew that and still had to go and pay for the Doc. How did the appraisal go?

2kid - I wish I had audiologist friends wow lucky! I really have no spare cash to take Tadhg for tests so he'll have to wait. Not sure when you are meant to do any 'formal' tests to check all is normal.

HI. karatemom i don't have a bedtime routine because my son sleeps in our room and we have the tv. i wish he would go into his own but at present we don't have the space. the last week i try get him to nap earlier in the day and then at night he goes to sleep by 9pm which is an improvement. 19 days to go til i hit cape town. changed my booking and will be there for a month.

She is a VERY good daymom and she does the same thing with the other kids, as soon as she reckon's there is something going on she calls the parents.

When the measles outbreak happened too, it was very hot and J had a bit of a heat rash and I got called immediately to take him for blood tests to make sure.

Its understandable with all the contagious stuff, but for teething - I can believe she wouldnt just accept my word for it!

DH managed to take J to the Dr only to be told what we already know - he is teething. He is currently cutting one of his bottom molars and is in so much pain and is so clingly - but his daymom wouldnt accept this from us, we had to go and fork out R450.00 to find otu soemthing we already knew!

Can't beleive your daymom can dictate to you when you may or may not bring Jensen in, esspecially if you have been to see a doctor and he has told you he is just teething. I hope you arn't paying her for the days you arn't taking him?

Thanks KarateMum. I think I will go by the L&L and read it. I used to subscribe but not for a long time. Yes, I have 2 friends who are audiologists and so I will just ask them to bring their little machines and test for me.
