Hi ladies. I wish i could get a good night's rest but DH's new job is more stressful on me than him. He got called out for a breakdown on wed evening and only got back at 9am yesterday! I was worried sick and to make things worse, we had a fight and he left in a bad mood. Last night Liam decided he wants to get up every 1.5 hours for a feed so i'm exhausted.
Girly, congrats on the smiles, the laughs will come soon. Even when you're frustrated and tired just seeing that smile makes it all worthwhile. Re vacs, it breaks my heart to see him cry so i get DH to hold him when he has them. He only got a fever once after the 10w ones. The other times he was fine. Re the relative, some people don't understand that babies need their mother's for comfort and not someone that they don't know. When Liam is crabby not even DH can settle him.
Yaz, how did the move go? And how is Lilly finding her new surroundings? I hope you take it easy and don't rush to get the house in order.
Gerne, i went into false labour twice and both times i walked to get the contractions going but it didn't work. Baby will only come when he's good and ready. Hope you are getting some rest.
Nikki, i have a campcot for Liam. He has his own room but for now i have the cot next to our bed until he starts sleeping through. It's great that you have your SIL to help you out with P.
Patty, re the bottle, i tried to get Liam to take it but he only did a few times and only when DH was feeding him. With me he only wants the boob. Re 5kg baby, i go to bed every night with a backache from carrying Liam around all day and he's around 7kgs now.
Claudia, hope you managed to get james to sleep last night. Hopefully he will sleep through tonight. Enjoy your day ladies.

Hey everyone, haven't been on this thread in awhile so had slot of Reading to do! If I don't reply about everything I'm sorry:(

shew yaz moving with a baby, I don't envy you, but like girly says don't rush to get unpacked!

Girly I'm glad the jab weren't too bad! It gets easier each time I promise- they still cry but it's not as stressful on you!

I'm so mad with my hubby. He was up afterme so I left the baby monitor with him when I went to bed. He forgot to bring it with him when he turned in, so woke up to James screaming! he hasn't cried like that in ages, so I don't know how long he had beencrying to no response:( feel awful! The downside is that he is now wide awake and it's halfpast 3(I need to stop telling people that James sleeps well! Everytime I do he surprises me with a 3 am wakening!

morning. Yawn!

Nikki how did today go? Hopefully better! Its really draining if you have a day or 2 when baby out of sorts. I know i feel exhausted.
Hows the co-sleeping working out tonight? I must say so far the camp cot has been a worthwhile buy for us.

Bronz how did the studying go today?
Yaz thinking of you hun. Hope you get some rest tonight and dont rush through the unpacking. You've also had a hectic few days so need to look after yourself.

Gerne, Claudia, Vash - hopefully we not hearing from you cos you are in dreamland far away from snoring.

Went for our 6w vacs today. Kaylee was so good. Cried a lot esp with the hep b shot. Actually had tears running down her face which doesn't happe often. Gave her boob after and she calmed down. Slept most of the afternoon but woke around 5 screaming. Poor girl must have felt so uncomfortable. Also had a feud so gave some ponado. Finally settled properly after 10:30 feed and slept 4 hours yay!

Having to bite my tongue with one of my relatives. Keeps offering to come help if she is difficult so that I can rest. But i have to explain over again that if my baby is crying Im not about to get any rest by watching someone else try console her. If i hear her crying i just dont sleep. The more i tell her this the more its implied that if i dont accept help i will burn out. There are many ways people can help me while i look after her so that there is less to do when she is calm / sleeping but i just cant hand her over to someod else if she's having a bad day. Thats what dh is for. She goes on abt it a lot and i always have the same reply. I might have to get a bit rude to get my point across't

Time to change her then back to sleep.

Hi ladies

Happy to report Peyton and I had an awesome today yesterday. She slept and napped like a dream, napping for almost 2.5 hours getting up smiling, feeding and going right back to sleep after playing for a while. If only everyday could be like this "sigh"

It helped a lot that my SIL was home visiting, spoilt me by cooking, making me copious amounts of tea and taking care of P while I took a long leisurely shower.

She fell asleep after her bath and got up now at 2h00 for a quick feed and back to bed. She is still sleeping with us, going to look for a camp cot over the weekend. Hoping she will evetually not have a problem moving into the nursery because of current co sleeping situation.

Off to sleep myself now, chat later

Hello where's everybody!?

I'm up after a 3.5hrs nap, it was relaxing :) we went to see my sister last night, she just had a baby boy. Wished I could check into maternity ward just for one night ;) would be great to have round the clock care & help!

Anyway, how was your day with LOs?
I took a walk with baby-girl in her carrier, she fell asleep as soon as left our gate. Managed to do 1km, but then I could carry on with a 5kg load weighing on me
it was refreshing.

Done feeding & burping, chat later

Morning ladies

@Girly - goodluck with Ms K's vaccinations today, I remember I was so glad I wasn't there when she got the. I was at the gynae at CT Medi Clinic and we had an appointment with paed straight after. Peyton had to e changed so DH took her to the car to change her and enroute he stumbled onto the baby wellness clinic and they were just about closing. He sms'd me to say they all cost R180! Compared to the over R2 K wwe would have spent I told him go for it. Poor ngel apparently screamed her lungs out but after a few minutes was back to normal at smiling at daddy. She had a slight fever afterwards which is normal but we gave her panado syrup. She was crabby that evening but eventually settled down. Hope its not mastitis that you have hun

@Yaz - goodluck with the move today!

@Patty - hoping Una takes to the bottle, like Bronz says just keep at it

@Gerne - enjoy the early nights your body deserves the rest

@Bronz - too cute that G can entertain and amuse himself!

My angel had a rough afternoon, looked like she was in pain, didn't want breast, dummy or sleep. Just cried and cried. Eventually got her to drink a bottle. And then massaged her with Crabby Chris ;-) massage oil which she seemed to like and then gave her her bath which she loved! Although she started crying again after we put her clothes on. But by 21h00 she was lights out (on our bed I'm afraid) until 3h00 and then again till 7h30 so at least she slept well.

Her aunt (visiting from DBN) had made her sleep now, such bliss as I got to take a long divine shower ;-)
