Burning the midnight oil together

Hi ladies

Seems like we all have our hands full at the moment!

Peytons' routine has turned 180 degrees again. Had a few naps yesterday. Gave her her bath 1/2 hour later than usual so only was ready to put her down just after 21h00. DH was working late last night and got in about the same time. The front door shut with a bang and she got up. He and I spent the next 3.5 hours trying to make her sleep. She cried and was very crabby. Didn't want the boob or formula. Eventually at 12h30 I fed her again and she fell asleep in my bed. Slept badly until 5h30. Fed her and slept for an hour and the dogs got her up. In the lounge with her now, just fed her again and hoping she sleeps. DH has left to fetch new helper because I honestly can't cope anymore. His sister is flying in this morning from Durban to visit baby.

@girly - I have the room in a box which is huge as the cot eventually turns into toddler bed and compactum into seperate cupboard and chest of drawers. Don't think it will fit in our room. May just get the camp cot as ideally I would prefer her in her own bed as I've not being getting any sleep with her on the bed with us.
Did you manage to sort out the situation with your helper?

Its going to be a long day today, all she makes up for last night with plenty of naps

Shame girly, sounds like it's been a bit hectic:) it's funny babies can be disrupted over the tiniest things. When James was 8 weeks old my hubby went to London for a week for work. It was my first yime home alone with a baby and I was upset about it:( over the first three days James slept a total of 9 hours. He was mis and exhausted and it was terrible. My sister came and stayed and I think it immeadiately made me less anxious. Her first night here he went back to his normal waking pattern at the time. She took him one afternoon so I could sleep, and he slept too:)

Bronz how did the change go? Did your boy co-operate?
Nikki dont you perhaps have space in your room for the cot? Or cant you buy a camp cot? They can then be left at grammy for visits or used later as a play pen. I got a real basic one for R500.

Gerne I used to hate when people comment how tired i look. My skype status for the longest time was Of course I look tired. Im 9 months pregnant!

Had a really rough night night b4 last K was awake and over tired from 10pm till 1am. Thankfully the night went ok after. Tonight been ok except she is fighting her sleep now. She is definitely going thru something as feeding 3 hourly from 10pm and then her last gap is only 2hours. Hope that it will get longer soon.
We have vacs thursday. Cant wait to have it done so that i can start going out when needed.
We have booked k's photo shoot for 15th Oct. Ordering a christmas out from baby bear for it. So cute! I need ideas tho as the photographer does not have a studio or props so we have to get it all.

Let me try put K down now. She is very fidgety!

Wow, it was kinda quiet last night. Hope everyone has been sleeping well:)

OMG I have been so hectically busy yesterday and today. My work colleague has now gone off for her mat leave, so I am seeing my patients and covering for her. Already counting the days till she comes back:)

@ Yaz, it wasnt sudden, but it was noticable - the difficult days just got further and further apart until now he still has his days, but not enough to make you want to run away screaming:)

@ Gerne, my first language is English and I still cant spell or make sense of my sentances sometimes:)

@Patty hope you have a better night. I'm so glad I dont have any more jabs until 9 months. I hated going to the clinic:(

I had a hectic night with LG waking every 2hrs had to take her for 10weeks vaccination, she's miserable abit. Hope she'l settle thou cos I'm so tired.

i slept very well last night, didnt wake much. just feel a bit pap today, must be an off day, sure ill feel better later.

My LB is still struggling with his molars, omw i wish they would just come out. He is such a good sleeper and doesnt wake up at night but with these teeth bugging him, he screams constantly.

Just reading your posts makes me so scared, what did i let myself into???? 2 - 4 hourly feeds, bum changing during the night, burping, cramps....... my LB is just off all of that and now i take it on again.

okay so its a bit late now to do anything about it but ja, im a bit scared of the new routines again.

i think with the first one you are scared because you dont know what to expect - but now, I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT and i know how hard it can get

@Bronz - she normally sleeps in her moses crib which is alongside my bed. But she is too big for it now, her hands hit against the sides and she gets up.
How did it go with G?

@Yaz - she slept from 20h30 to 23h30 in her crib, changed her and fed her and at around 4h00 she was stiring so brought her to our bed and she slept till 7h30. She sleeps better and longer with us. Think we will move her to nursery at 3 months which is in 3 weeks time.
