I am awake but my baby sleeping. Oh my word Girly, I'd just tell the maid you can't afford her anymore. I'd go nuts! I went through two before I found my angel from heaven nanny. If she's only been there a few times then I don't think it's a problem to let her go. She isn't doing the job anyway and she's just stressing you out.

How's Kaylee sleeping tonight? Have you got the BabySense book? I followed those guidelines when my baby was that small and it worked really well. I didn't switch on a light at night or spoke one word to her during the night. Made a big show of it being morning. I don't know your history, apart from Kaylee's operation because I don't read all the threads. Does she cry a lot at night?

nikki its awful to change their clothes at night. Kaylee wakes up way too much from it. Wow thats a big feed. What does she weigh now?

I was just telling DH this eve that K is gonna outgrow the moses basket soon. She is a talk baby. But we have a camp cot in our soon for after. She will look so tiny in it.

Those who dont carry their baby or lie them on your lap, where do you put them to sleep during the day? In what?
For those who struggle with them waking up when put down, clinic sister suggested make sure to put them down bum first then slowly lower head. If u do head first the fright reflex kicks in, they jerk hands suddenly and awake.

The last thing i want is for her to go to ccma. Will probably have to start with warnings but just unpleasant and dont have the energy. I need to write up an official chore list with instructions and then if she fails to carry it out or ask questions then give her warnings. Never thought having someone once a week could be so demanding. DH dad kinda manages her. She works for them twice a week. Hopefully he can take case of it.

Gotta change her and hopefully sleep after. Chat laters.

Oh Girly, I'm so sorry for your difficult day, it does takes its toll on you mentally, emtionally and physically.

I hope the rest of the evening is going better.

I would nicely tell the helper you don't require her services anymore, I think with the language barrier it might be difficult explaining why. Having her will just add to your frustrarions. I found it very frustrating for me and have been through many helpers, just find it easier doing it myself. However having said that I am finding it difficult to take care of Peyton and do the chores so thinking of getting a helper again once a week.

Peyton fed at 7h15 and in bed by 8h30, got up now just before 1h00 for her feed and putting her off to sleep now. Will have to move her out of the moses crib soon as she is getting too big for it and into the nursery. Not looking forward to that :-(
She frank 150ml bottle plus breast feed top up! Usually doesn't ever finish her bottle. After drinking she had a massive poo ;-) and soiled her clothes and had to change her clothes in between her feed :-(

She seems to like her new swing but only at short periods of time, its very stimulating for her.

Do any of you get the munchies during the late night/early morning feeds? I do, but never give in to it ;-) but find I'm always hungry these days (breastfeeding)

Hello fellow night-shift! Una slept for 3.5hrs, so I managed to get 3hrs nap :)

Girly sori about ur ordeal, I would think u have a right to fire her. Not sure which reason would be more acceptable: incompetence/communication problem/etc. But u can't put up with that any longer while paying her :(

Yaz how do u cope with de housework, etc? I thought I'l get a nanny in December to prepare Una for wen I go back to work in Jan, but now we agreed with DH that I need her as of next month. Tired!

Regarding daytime naps, won't de baby get spoiled of sleeping in my arms/carrier? I've noticed she wakes up de minute I put her on her cot :(

Well, done for now. Later
