Burning the midnight oil together

Ah Vash you and I together. I finally have another date booked for the drivers. But I am determined to get it this time. Can rely on hubby all the time, I keep getting cabin fever. If I can do it, you can. I am already heading for middle age.

Ok so I am going to cancel antenatal reunion. As you say Girly I clicked with no one, nor have I spoken to any since we did the last lesson. And it is such a beautiful day, dont want to waste it indoors.

I have half given up on the dummy. He sucks for two secs then spits it out. So at nap or bed time I hold it there. But have you seen on the nuk dummy there are perfect little holes to put elastic bands through, the odd things you think while holding it there.haha

Did hubby manage to sleep Girly? Which part of CT are you in?

Oh by next year, K should only wake once or not at all, her feeds will be allot quicker and you wont need to change her. I could easily go to work on the sleep I get.

Liam also decided to suprise me by giving me 3.5 hours of sleep after his last feed. I'm a SAHM. I've never worked before. Straight after school i started university and i was supposed to finish last year but then i got pregnant so i will only finish next year. Even after i finish though i'm not sure when i will work. DH says he wants our children to grow up with their mommy to take care of them all the time but i'm not really the housewife type.
I know what it's like to be stuck indoors. I can't drive yet(that's my fault because i was scared), so i have to wait for DH to take me around. Maternity bras didn't work for me and i ended up buying normal bras. I feel that they're more comfortable. Re the dummies. We never used them. Liam just refused them. He won't even drink from the bottle but if i'm holding a glass in my hand he will reach for it and put it into his mouth so i will just leave it until he can drink from a cup. I'm glad i had company last night. Enjoy your day ladies.

my turn again. K had 3.5hrs between her feed. Hope she repeats it this next one. Usuall wd get one longer gap joe then a shorter one between 2 & 3hrs max. Cant wait till she is bigger & only wakes up once.

Bronz ur lucky. Dh needs dark and quiet. Once asleep he sleeps pretty deep but he will have to get used to her sounds and sleep through0hype eventually. How I wish sometimes I could wake him up. But he needs his rest, he started a new job in aug and is still on probation so he cant go to work exhausted. But once im back at work next year i will need his help maybe with the midnight feed that i can sleep.

Vash are you a SAHM or just on maternity? I got retrenched 2 weeks before ML was due to start so for now im just a mommy but unfortunately in Jan or Feb i will have to start working again.

Bronz tough one. I guess it depends how close you are to the ladies. I never got any of the numbers of those who attended ante natal with me altho would have been nice.

I am cooped indoors till K's vaccinations next week. Wd are being extra cautious with her. But we need to buy new bedding for our new bed, i need new maternity bras and need to go find a honey dummie as a last resort to getting K to use one. She was 2 weeks behind her growth rate, born 10 days early and lost a week of eating while in hospital so she is now 5 weeks but effectively the size she should have been at 40 weeks. Weighs abt 3.3kg now. So i think the dummies are just too big for her little mouth but i need to be able to soothe her to sleep without the boob.

Well thats it from me till about 8am. Thx 4 keeping me company. Took all her feedin & burping time to type this

Bronz, i just missed you! My DH doesn't wake up with me at night. He can sleep through anything. Sometimes at night when i'm awake with Liam i feel like waking DH up too just to make me feel better because he gets to sleep through. I let him sleep though because he goes to work and i'm at home. I think i would also cancel the reunion. Just tell them that you can't make it.
Girly, enjoy having your DH in bed with you again. I can't sleep if my DH is not in bed with me. Liam's last feed was at 11:30 so he decided to let me sleep a little before waking up again but i know his next feed will be in exactly 2 hours. Maybe i will see your'll here.

Well I am up now.

My hubby can now sleep through G waking up. But in the beginning he woud wake up and not be able to go back to sleep for hours, it messed with his clock big time.

So what are the plans 4 the weekend?

I have a big mix up. We have a picnic tomorrow with friends we have not seen in a while and the antenatal class reunion. Picnic is at 1 in kirstenbosch and reunion is at 2 in town. i feel like canceling reunion but what do i tell them?

he he i hear you. Before K I was the same. But now to be awake enough to concentrate on what im reading id land up more awake than moomie would at 3am.

So tonight is DH first night back in bed in 3 weeks. He has been on the couch since coming home. So taking some re-organising tonight so that i dont have too much effort with night time feeding and changes. He is already asleep next to me after 5 mins.

K had a feed at 1 and landed up too awake so now im sitting here waiting for her to fall asleep before I can go ty sleep. At least I slept from 10:30 till 12:30 myself.

Anyone else out there or all still waiting on their new phones?

I had to smile, cause reading just has the opposite effect on me. I always read in bed before I turn off the light!
