it's amazing how motherhood changes us, I remember I wouldn't sacrifice my sleep for anything/anyone! DH used to be left chatting alone now I happily (Ya Right!) wake up anytime for my princess.
We had a good night, woke up twice and shesfalling asleep again now.

Hi ladies. Everyone is quiet tonight so i hope all the babies are giving their mommies some rest. Well we're on our way to jhb. DH's company sent him to do some work there. Was packing until 11.30 last night and woke up at 2.30 so i'm exhausted. Liam is awake right now but he's soon go back to sleep. Hopefully we will be there or almost there before he gets up again.
Claudia, sorry about james not wanting to sleep. Liam always wants to play but some people will want to continue playing with him even when he's tired. I hope james sleeps until morning.

Kaylee just had 5 hours between feeds. That means a 4 hr stint for me! Sorry had to brag, after a week averaging 5 hrs sleep a night made up of 2hr, 2hr, 1hr, this is like heaven't

I was busy with a longer post on the pc earlier but came to feed her & during that time dh decided to lock up the house & i was too tired to get up. So will submit tomor.

Claudic people sometimes just dont get it that babys cant always be played with especially right before a nap. Shees i would be way pissed off!

OMG it's going to be a long night. Felt like killing my sister today! She is lovely but no matter how much I try to get her to understand the importance of not overstimulating she doesn't get it...
Last night James was up at 3h30 but other than that he was quite good. He woke up again at 6 thirty as usual, and I dressesd him, played and then fed as usual at 7 thirty before going to the hospital.
At 8 thirty he was put down with no bother and he woke at 10, which is a very good morning sleep. I got home at 10 fifteen for his nextfeed. That's where it went pear shaped. My sister came around and got him so worked up so that at 12 his normal nap time I couldn't calm him down. Eventually he went down at 2. He woke up at 3 thirty which I thought was a good nap, but it meant missing his afternoon nap and I thinkhe was stilltired. My sister continued to "play" despite me becoming agitated and instead of his normal 7 pm bed time I onlygot him down at 9. Andhes already woken twice justneeding to be calmed back to sleep! Arggghhh!

Hi gerne, i don't think it's a growth spurt because he wasn't very hungry during the day so i think he was making up for it last night. I had Liam at 4.15pm and was at home the next day by lunch time. It's fine if you want to stay longer in hospital because you need time to rest and bond with your baby. I'm sure your DH will manage with Henko and the family can help.
Bronz, how is the studying going? How do you manage your time with graeme? I must get used to studying again because this time next year i will be hitting the books again. I'm not sure if it's a good thing that Liam will be mobile by then! Oh the talking is too cute. Liam also fights with one of his toys. I don't know what it is about the toy that he doesn't like but he always hits it and he has a very angry face. They're growing so quickly.

A quick question : to those who had normal deliveries, how long were you in hospital?

Henko was born 22:00 on the 1st of Jan and i went home the next morning - the 2nd at 10:00. apparantly they had a lot of c-secs booked and there came in normal deliveries and they needed beds, so they basically threw me out . I was fine with it but this time im wondering if i shouldnt just stay another day or two. just to be alone with Ruben and rest a little bit. back at home its DH Henko and the household that needs to be 'done' again and a house full of people (in laws and BIL coming for a week). If i go home its out of the pj's and back into normal clothes and normal everything.

Am i selfish to be like this?

I have been going to bed earlier every night but it doesnt feel as if it is helping. I do still struggle through the night but im sleeping okay, and luckily my LB is back to sleeping through again, yay!

Vash, good luck with all the stresses about the job and hope things work out better in the future. Wow every 1.5hours is a lot hey. is he going through a grow spurt?

Claudia LOL those surprises usually just last a few days then they are back to their normal routines. Must just be something eina somewhere that will hopefully go away quickly! Good luck!

Ahh Girly, sorry about her pain, those first years injections is bad, luckily they get better How much does she weigh now?
