Asp glad your lo is starting to walk now the fun starts of running around after him, but it's true they grow up so fast I looked at my lg again the weekend and asked when did you grow up and she looks at me as if I am stupid she just says I am a big girl mom not a baby anymore

Vix love the belly pics, I know how you feel about going in to labour so soon I am 32w on saturday coming and I am shit scared...what did gyne say the tweenies wheigh now I am only seeing my gyne next friday then I'll be 33w if nothing happens sooner...

Ok so I was thinking about this night helper I phoned around they say they don't charged under R6000 ooiihhh that's a lot of cash that we don't have lying around monthly, so I was thinking now, seeing that they are born in december if not sooner we will see how we cope for that month if we battle I think I must get my day helper (she sleeps in) to become my night helper I don't have to pay her more cause her day is just going to become her nights and all she has to do is take care of the tweenies I trust her more cause she does everything the way I want with my lg at the moment so I don't think we will have problems, then I will get a day helper to help me with the house work during the day and I don't have to splash out a fortune for her max R1500-00 a month doesn't that sound like a plan and then the night helper can sleep during the day in her own room, you guys must think I am a lazy mom thruth is I hate batteling and asking the grandparents is not an option I always say to them it's a privilage to be grandparents it shouldn't be there duty to care for them cause they also getting old you know and they don't always want screaming babies around them if if they say they don't care it's hard work

Carmen glad you getting someone to make you the bed and compactum at a lower cost

My LG is 10 and a half months old now. Her birthday is in Dec (the 18th) and Hubby wants to throw a HUGE bash - probably since he never has to do all the work. I am a bit of a controlfreak, especially when it comes to having people over. We'll see how I feel closer to time and decide. Otherwise we'll just have a little gathering of close family and friends.

Man, I have sobbed my eyes out today. I am actually so sad that my LG is walking already. Feels like she is getting big too quickly for this mamma. Probably the pregnancy hormones, but yeah, still sucks too be so silly.

Thanks for the advice on magnesium and calcium - will definately go pass the pharmacy and get some for tonight. I had to sleep with such caution last night not to get a cramp. Actually quite funny.

Carmen, sorry about the reflux. That is terrible. I get heartburn quite often, but that is not nearly as bad a reflux. Shame, hope it gets better.

Asp: sh1t! sorry for the leg cramps they are the pits! I agree with Carmen, take a calcium & Magnesium combo before bed! Ask your gynae if you're unsure and he can perhaps recommend a brand but i was taking the trial pack of Preg omega plus which has the combo in it and it seemed to help a lot. I must say i have gone back to the pregnavit for now though because my Dr says that the omega 3's are nice but really not essential so i figured i'll use what i already have instead of buying more.

Congrats on your LG's steps! How old is she now? she must be coming up for a year hey? I remember C was always taking the odd wobbly step but suddenly out of nowhere on his actual 1st birthday he started walking like he had always been doing it, i think he just saw all these kids running around at his party and thought, hey that looks like fun.

Carmen- great news on the cot & compactum, it's so nice to actually have something made for you! Sorry about the reflux, ouch! not nice!

People keep telling me about twin mommies who went into labour at 33w, it's like it's a trigger time so now I'm like super anxious to have everything finished by 32w!

anyone i forgot or any changes let me know please.

Asp - congrats on your LO taking her first steps!! For leg cramps take magnesium - you should try and combine calcium and magnesium and should take it at night, about 2-3 hours before going to sleep.

I have terrible gastric reflux - I think it will only get worse.

A friend of ours will be making the cot and compactum - so excited and relieved, he said we only need to pay for the wood, but we will pay for the labour as well. I was putting pressure on DH to get it sorted out.
