Don't worry about baby not having turned yet. There's still time. I know how you feel about a C-sec tho - I'd be really upset if I had to have one - only because I'm such a sissy when it comes to pain I doubt i'll be able to handle it. And it totally freaks me out that i'd be awake and they'd be pulling my stomach and it's contents to pieces!! Silly I know - but really hoping I can have natural again!

Yvette good on you for handing everything over and enjoying your time off! That's exactly what i'm doing too! We close on 15 December and I'm not thinking about work until 10 May next year!!

AFM booked my hospital bed yesterday!!! And now my DH wants to stay in hospital with me! They have rooms for couples at R450 per night extra which isn't bad, with your own bathroom, but I feel so bad then for leaving Kyra with my mom. Won't she feel left out???

Yvette, good for you to hand over your work while on leave, but its not easy for some. I always found it takes you double time to catch up and fix the mistakes. My argument was always, I take leave, but work so much overtime before and after, that it just compensates the leave time... most of us are just too committed!

I lay awake last night wondering what I will do if baby is still in breech position in a few weeks... going to start reading up on how to get little one to "move". Sarah moved and was fine at 30 weeks, but they say a second baby moves around a lot more! I am so scared of a c-section... something I have to get my mind around, I guess.

Vix - yay! Its friday and you get to see your Tweenies. I hope you found some comfort last night? I guess its your last grocery shop for now... Bronkhorstspruit is actually so nice - its out of the city, but really just on Pta East's doorstep so you can come through anytime!

Wow, thats a good price on the Pampers no 2, they didnt have no 1 on special did they? I looked up the specials on the Baby City website for Cape Town's Baby expo - wow! Only thing is, the queues.... I dont know if I'll make those queues when the expo is at the Dome in Nov. And I dont suppose it helps to push your tummy out at a show like this...

I think we are all starting to take strain now... poor sleeping, uncomfortable... counting the weeks now.

One of my collegues is going on maternity leave today. She is due next week and its her 4th child that she will be having natural birth. I am so jealous of her.

chris - your boss needs to take another look at the labour law before he starts saying things like that. you have 30 sick-leave days in the 36-month period and are entitled to 4 months unpaid maternity leave. if he decides to pay you, well then, lucky you, because most bosses do not. he cannot make you work on your maternity leave either so he must go get lost!
about the woolies maternity bra's... i agree that the band is tight. i bought 36D bra's recently and man they are tight around me. there is room in the boobie part for growth and breastpads atleast.
the edgars ones are also nice. bought those last time.

i'm going off work from the 1st dec. i will close my laptop, leave it at the office, change my voicemail to redirect to my new girl... and not answer private numbers again until may 2011. my mind is tired of work now. really battling to keep focused. but its only 5 weeks or so left. my team is leaving for lisbon portugal today until next saturday, so i am taking full advantage of doing jack next week. pity i am preg and not going - its usually 250 people from my nuclear and imaging division from europe, middle east and africa. man, and a complete party. the spanish team are the best - they hardly speak english and laugh and sing and dance all the time very funny.

guys, my babe is still breech, and really making my breath short and the head is straight into my diaphragm. he/she has been like this since the 25 week check. atleast i can tickle the little head sweet sweet tiny baby! can;t wait to see what it is and what it looks like - then it can go back in for a while! we are probably weighing 1.4kg now - seems to be picking up 200g a week over the last month.

Sorry for being mia, but I was really busy this week.
We’ve moved Eduan to his new room eventually & now we can get someone to come and paint the baby room. Jippee & then I can start to organize everything. Can’t wait.

At this stage Marinus stuff is everywhere I can put things. So hopefully in a week or two’s time things will start falling in place. Luckily my mother is making all the bedding, curtains etc for Marinus room & she’s done a lot so far. Already have the curtains. She’s coming to visit next weekend, so then I will see what I will get then.

I havn't had time to read up, but hopefully I will have some time today. Then I will do some personals.

Grrrr grocery shopping today and it was not easy with C in tow but half of it done, I'll finish at the weekend.

Chris- your boss is an A$$! Don't work when on ML, well once the trips are here you won't get time because you will NEED to sleep when they sleep trust me, i tried working when baby slept and it broke me a million times over!

WRT shaving, i always Veet things into a nice neat shape but now i can no longer see anything i simply Veet the whole lot, but the last time it didn't work even with allowing double time to work so if it doesn't work again this time i am going for a full wax.

Having a C-sec you need to shave everything off otherwise they will just take a dry Bic to your lady and take everything off when you book in the hospital. That's why i am already just taking everything off in case of an emergency admission, Sorry but the last thing you want is that itch when it grows back on top of having a scar across your bikini line. also being completely 'clean' makes for easier clean up during the heavy bleed days, trust me when you get up from the bed you'll have a horrid mess. Sorry for TMI but just being honest, imagine the heaviest period you've ever had and at least double it for some days. O.k with a C-sec it doesn't last long because they clean most of the debris out before they stitch you up.

Chris - you boss is taking chances - what an a$$! Bed rest is not part of maternity leave - it's sick leave - if you have a Dr's certificate.
LOL at the 'lady episode' - I also nicked myself shaving, want to go for a full wax, but haven't done it before so a little hesitant.

Suriya - take it easy, don't ask for more work right now, the workflow will start again shortly I'm sure, it's seldom that one can take it a little easier at work. I usually offer at work when I up to date, but this hasn't happened recently.

Asp - hope you get some sleep.

My belly is getting bigger, well so is my bum. And I sometimes find that subconsciously I'm trying to pull my tummy in so I consciously have to tell myself relaaaaxxx! My gastric reflux is quite bad today - started early.
Otherwise all is well.
