Hi Ladies

I started Spring Semester last week and have been really busy getting back into classes. It was an adjustment because I took the Winter term (which is just 3 weeks) to "write" my paper but I ended up procrastinating anyway.

Champers and Stacey, your bump pictures are lovely :) I'm rather private so I would prefer not to post my pictures here (where I don't know who will see it) but will add you ladies on facebook where I have started a "Pregnancy Diary" album with bump and ultrasound pics.

2kmm, I'm sorry to hear about your financial situation, my prayers are definitely with you. I hope the Std bank facility works out.

Michellejv, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, especially your dad. Please keep us updated with how the surgery goes.

Adele, you have been through such a difficult situation, I have so much admiration for you, especially your faith.

Michelle1975, you are so incredibly strong, I cannot imagine what that experience must have been like. I definitely think pregnancy hormones may have a role to play in your emotions. I second Adele's suggestion wrt a therapist - I'm a strong believer in counseling, our society sometimes views it as something that only seriously mentally ill people need but in reality it's just someone to listen, offer you an outside perspective and to help you understand your feelings. I think what you are feeling is completely normal given your circumstances and you are welcome to chat here anytime you need.

AFM, nothing new, baby is getting more active, which is nice. He loves to kick while I'm in lectures, so I like to think he's absorbing the info, lol. Anni, I finally got a chance to watch the Business of Being Born and I think it's great. In fact, I think I will start a thread to put up the link to where you can watch it online for free so that people can access it if they want to.

Hi ladies

Love the bump pics Champers but I can't see yours Stacey for some reason. I havn't done mine yet, will try do it tonight.

I'm seeing Doc again on the8tha nd looking forward to it. This little one is getting very active and I am feeling all the twists and turns now.

@ Michelle1975, I am so sorry for you loss and the situation you find yourself in. Please don't beat yourself up about it. I am sure that Josh would want only the best for you and would want you to be happy. I am so sure he is smiling down on you now with your good news of the new baby and your new happy realtionship with your husband. The preggy hormones are what are making everythign seem so much worse and bearing down on you so. If you really are struggling though then i would do what Adele suggested and perhpaps consider a Therapist. There is such a thing as "pre-natal depression and it is treatable.

Girls, my hubby and I are going to major major financial strain at the moment. Things are really really bad for us. We had a very very bad start to 2011 which just got conceivable worse leading into 2012 and now everything is catching up. No bank will help us anymore and my last option is Std bank who have a faciliity that may be able to help us regards to some form of reabilitation. Please, those of you that are believers in prayer, please stand with me in prayer that this will be the end of our financial hassles and that we can look forward to a postive future for us and our family.

P.S, I think it's great that we are able to come together as freind and discuss our pregnancies but also all our other worries and not be judged for that.

Love you guys.

Hi Ladies,

@ Michelle, Gosh Im so sorry to hear about your story! I think its completely normal to feel the way you are, but I agree with Adele, I do believe Josh would want you to be happy! He will always be apart of your life, but you have every right to start a "new life" I dont think the preggie hormones help your situation either! We are here for you to express your feelings anytime!!!!!

Regarding buying - I had WAY to many blankets....My LB has his 2 favorites now and the rest I gave away. I must say - I bought the angelcare monitor and SWEAR by it!!!! I agree with Adele - you can never have to many nappies (I did find that my LB outgrew the newborn nappies very quickly though) In the beginning we used water and cottonwool to wipe baba and not any wetwipes etc (its what the clinic suggested so we just stuck with it :) We never even bought a bottle warmer (as Adele says takes WAY to long). The best thing I bought was the little cushion with the side cushions to keep baba on his side while he slept (dunno if that makes sense) Burping cloths - A MUST. Thats all I can think of now - if I think of anything else will post :)

YAY Adele - LB's are just great :)

I agree with 2km re the bump pics (Ill start) today im 24 weeks - here goes with the pic - EEK

So it looks like we will HOPEFULLY be moving 1 April - maybe sooner, but no later :)
got to much to do - but really looking forward to it!

This week I have had fun. I have my LB (Asher - 21 months) at the doc on Mon with a terrible stomach bug and he still has diahorrea. My hubby was up most of last night with stomach ache and a temp, and stayed home today with a high temp. So im lacking sleep and have a sick hubby and baby on the mend :)

How are all of you doing?

Have a good day tom!!!

Hi Everyone,

Michelle, I cannot begin to think what you are going through. I don't think Josh would have mind you moving on and I don't think you should feel guilty. We all have the right to be happy! The pregnancy hormones is probably making you feel worse, buy we will always be here to give a ear whenever you need it. If you really feel you are not coping, have you considered seeing a therapist. They just tend to assist you to step out of your immediate situation and see things in a different manner.
Good luck, I am thinking of you!

On buying, yes I have been guilty before with my first born, now I am just lazy to buy. You cannot have enough nappies or wetwipes! I had way to much blankets, but would probably get a couple again. 8 or so, it helps if they spit on it, or wet it etc. Don't know, it never stays clean! In Feb's My pregnancy, they actually have a nice list of things you need. What I bought that I didn't use was a bottle warmer, seriously, it take so long the baby is past hungry when the milk is actually ready and I never used the baby monitors. Maybe I was just never far away from my daughter, I didn't really have her out of my sight!

I think however, the buying is part of the fun being a first time mom! And that you will never really know what you like using, until you haven't tried it.

Great to hear from you Champers! This thread is really getting way to quiet!

Anyway, I have good news, I am expecting a boy! YAY! I really wanted one! So my day has been super fabulous so far. I cannot wait to hit the shops and buy buy buy!!!!
