Hi Girls.

Ankia, she is too gorgeous!

Zee, glad Ziani is doing better at school. The twins are also doing so much better. They were sick now for 2 days so had to stay at home but this morning they went back. Aidan was a little teary but didn't actually cry. Their teacher says that they play really nicely and the afrikaans is coming along. I am trying to do as much as possible at home with them but it's so hard because I'm so used to speaking English to them. They know a few words now though so it's coming along. I can't think of any Afrikaans songs to sing them that they might hear in school...HELP!!

Other than that, I'm doing well. C and I had a massive fight last week...well we didnt actually fight, it was more just that silent thing. And for once it was my fault. But we're fine now again. Actually much better than before so I think it was necessary. I just feel like a real jerk because he saw something on FB that happened more than a year ago and he was really hurt but like I said, all good now and we have a new appreciation for each other. ANd he's completely on board with the kids' school now, even speaking afrikaans to them if they ask etc. YAY!

As for my book, doing the last of the photography now and now deciding on the title (can't use Simply Delicious as there's already an SA book called that), cover and all the design stuff. I'm getting so excited for it all. :)

Hi girls

Ankia, your LG is gorgeous! Awww ..... she is really a stunner! Hope she enjoys her solids. Dr Halkas (the paed) showed me the latest research why they think it's better to start solids earlier - apparently it is due to allergies, etc. Anrika has a great weight, hey! Zander seems so small in comparison although he does feel big to me now.

He is still trying to get the hang of eating,I've tried a spoonful or two in the evenings, he sometimes pushes it out again. He seems keen on getting it in his mouth though!

As for Ziani, it is finally going better at school. She still cries sometimes but it is really going great actually. She is socialising better with the other children and enjoys the lessons. She loves music and story time.

So ladies, where are you? I am reaally starting to miss all the regular posts now ...

Hi

I hope everyone is doing great
I wrote a long post the other day, I see now that it is missing
I am back at work, started on Monday
It is alright being back, but I miss my little girl very much, she stays with a great nanny and she is so happy with her
So my little girl is 4 months today, she weighs nearly 9kg.
Zee I see you say that your pead said to start with solids, and my pead said that I must wait till atleast 5 months, but 6 months is even better.
Will see how it goes as she has now doubled her birth weight, and her neck is nice and strong

William is doing good, school is a bit of a problem, he has been crying the whole week, today was a good day, but not great.
I am sure that the terrible 2''s was not as bad as the terrible 3's I am getting now. If I ask him what he is doing, then he tells me "nothing mammie", but when I get there he has opened the tap in the bath, put in the plug, got undressed and is bathing in cold water, I just left him to bath - was very funny
He fills a bucket of water and dumps it on his bed
He takes the washing out the washing machine before it is finished, luckily it is top loader.
He then puts the clothes in the drier
He thinks he is helping, but making double work for mommy

I hope every one has a great day

Hey everyone

Where are you guys????
This thread is way too quiet.

Nicole, today is the first day that she didn't cried. DH is taking her in the mornings now so we are so chuffed that it went better this morning.

Zander is sick, and we are actually all suffering from sinus and cold in our house. He is luckily getter better. He went for his 4 m check up this week and the paed was satisfied. He is still just a tad below average, he weighs 6,6 kg but he is very happy with his head control and progress. He hates tummy time though ...

The paed actually told me to start with solids, apparently they now believe it's best to start from 4 months! I was really surprised, thought the 6 m rule was still in place ...

And that's basically my news, times are still hectic and I'm also trying to earn more money with some freelance writing, etc.

Ange, so glad that Cole is eating better!

Nicole, sounds as if its going wonderful with K.

Hope you enjoy the weekend!

Other than that not much news, K is being a typical 3 year old somedays he is such a cute and funny character other days wel..... not so much lol.

He went with Dh to the dentist last week, according to the Dentist K's teeth are in very good condition. K also starts Monkeynastic and Kindermusik this week and in 4 weeks time he starts swimming lessons with Aquatots.''

Morning everyone

I'm alive & well and working very hard.

Lwasi so glad that things are looking good for you and Amu!

Yoza, glad that the kids are doing so well.

Everyone else really just wanted to pop in and say hello and also that I'm reading all your posts on e-mail.

Cole is doing great and starting to eat like a real champ! So momy is very happy about that as we are drawing closer to the 13kg mark now. He is still smaller than most kids his age but at least I can see the difference in him.

will chat more later
