Hello ladies
It is awfully quiet around here but I never have the time to post these days

Our phonelines are down at work so I have a few minutes spare.
Nina is down to one nap a day most days (eish, already!!!) and Oliver hasn't been having a sleep for months now, they are usually both ratty and irritable by 4pm as well so I usually have them both in bed by 6pm lol. Problem with Oliver is that he's overtired by then so he messes around in his room for a while, I find it so frustrating especially as I've had to listen to the tired whining until bathtime!
Nina is picking up words left right and centre, its amazing the difference between her and Oliver in that department. I can now ask her to get something, like bring me your shoes/hairbrush etc, very sweet. Only problem I'm having is that she is rapidly going off milk, she has one (200ml) cup of milk a day and that's it, I can't remember how much milk she's supposed to be having but I'm sure up until the age of 2 its something like 500mls...I'm giving her plenty of yoghurt instead to hopefully make up the difference.
Oliver is doing well at playgroup and I we've found a pre-school for him for next year, we're number 2 on the waiting list so just have to keep FX he gets a place, its just around the corner from where he goes now so hopefully it will all work out. Think Primary school is going to be a whole different story as we're out of the catchment area for all the primary schools but we'll cross those bridges as we come to them. Maybe we'll win the lottery between now and then so we can send them ot private schools hehehe.
Got some bad news last week, my SIL (the one who has been fighting breast cancer) has been told by the docs that there is little they can do for her now except pain management, her body is so toxic that her heart is under major strain and she's very high risk for a heart attack, any more chemo will kill her. They've said that within 2 weeks of stopping all her treatments she is going to start feeling it and the cancer will probably start growing very rapidly so she is on the last part of her journey now. Shooo it is so sad and it must be so awful for her but she is remaining positive and will fight with whatever she has left and we'll just wait and see. The docs have said maybe 3 months but Lee-Anne is a real fighter, she wasn't meant to make it to Nina's birth so she's a walking miracle really.
Ally sounds like you're up to exciting things this year, when do we get to hear about it?!
Lisha- Oliver also swaps hands, his teacher suggested we encourage the right as that is the one he uses most of the time and he definitely has more control with his right. I am trying to teach him to write his name at the moment and we've got him a couple of those write and wipe clean books and he loves tracing the letters although he does it all back to front and has no real idea of what he's doing lol, I do it more to help him get learn how to hold the pen properly. He also isn't particularly good at colouring and doesn't really seem to enjoy it much. I think its a boy thing lol. Weirdly though, he favours his left leg for kicking a ball and riding a scooter...go figure.
Otherwise not much to report

Life is much the same
