I am so excited - my little girl is one of the 24 finalists in the "Face of Baby Boom" competition. For 8 months (December - July), 3 of the 24 finalists are featured on the website and in the Living and Loving. Emily is a February Finalist.

Morning ladies,

I just need to vent a bit of steam here

We dedicated Willem yesterday (will post some pics of my angel later).

So, later at the house - during lunch... my sister was looking after Willem for like 5 minutes - I come back - to find her stuffing a CHOMP into his mouth!!!!

This is my 5 1/2 month old baby that is only just starting solids, and hasn't even had veggies yet - and she is feeding him chocolates!!

Not only that - but she started earlier already by saying she wants to give him some - and I told her in no uncertain terms NO! So she KNEW I did not approve - hence wait till my back is turned.

And then she also made sure that her husband took a photo of it with MY camera - just in case I missed it...

She had a 1 year old - she should know better! ... then again - she was giving her son ice cream and biltong when he was 4 months old - so maybe she doesn't

Good luck Robyn... Kaelyn loved her cereal so we tried veggies and she just looooves them so now se has cereal at 10am and purity at 18:00. her favourite is butternut, then its sweet potato and last is carrot... doesn't like it much at all.

this weekend after a week and a half of the above i steamed some butternut and sweet potatoes and took all her old purity Jars and re-filled them... had enough to fill two ice trays with sweet potato and one of butternut. Wow one sweet potato goes a really really long way. Anyway hope she likes the real stuff as much as she does the purity

also this weekend decided to bath Kaelyn for the first time without the bath support, i put her in the bath and then i put her rubber duckies in and she had tremendous fun chasing the upside-down duckies about. (I bought cheap rubber duckies from clicks and they only float upside down). Her sitting at 5 months and a bit isnt sooo very stable but if you hold her at the waist its good enough.

Ah well morning coffee calls

Charn, we are in the south, so are looking at Honeycomb & Meadows in Constantia

Dakota is loving her cereal so much that I am going to try her on some veggies tom - woo hoo!!

OOOOH what a night... last night after we fetched little one from the mil she was niggly... and about an hour after we had offered her food, she didn't want, so we offered her a nap (we usually put her in her crib if she's tired she rolls onto her side and goes to sleep) she didn't wanna sleep...

about a half hour lated she started crying again so we gave her some teeth stuff, which did nothing, we then tried panado coz what else do you offer a screaming baby? we gave her colic drops too nothing helped

Eventually after an hour of this we decided to try take her to the doctor coz it must be something...

So we grab a bottle and medical aid card and climb into the car and... she falls asleep before were even out the driveway...

so we decided to just drive round the block, get home and put her in bed...

an hour later she woke up - fed and went back to sleep...

oh how horrible!

Chameleons Montessori, Nitida Wine Farm, Durbanville (VERY close to home, so my first option at the moment)
Pinelands Montessori (close to work and if its up to me, I'll be there for a long time still).

Congrats on the sitting - Emily also sitting all by herself now. Such big girls.
