Charnenay - Kaylin went through that too, eventually for about a week she wouldn't go to sleep, we were getting stripped with this idea as i was just back at work and needed to sleep myself, but it passed. what helped was holding a hand on her hip so she couldn't roll around.

but it is just so cute! Kaelyn hasn't quite got the laughing down, she just chuckes.

so, Emily finally decided this turning over thing is ok to do. DH took her for a drive last night while I tidied up a bit - house is always in a state of disarray after the weekend. They got back just after 8 and she had fallen asleep in the car, took off her gown and put her in her cot (on her tummy as she sleeps), a few minutes later I heard her laughing and when I went in to check, she was laying on her back After much cheering, we turned her back over and stuck her dummy in her mouth and she shot herself back over to her back so fast and laughed hysterically, she repeated this about 10 times until I eventually had to take her out of her cot and rock her to sleep!!! Not sure I'm too happy about this new development

Girly - yep she sits all on her own, not for an exceptionally long time, but never the less. seems like just yesterday we were griping about pregnancy issues...

We started Kaelyn with sweet potato purity over the weekend... at first she pulled a face, so i assumed she wasnt gonna eat it but she went on to eat half a tub... then next day when i offered it to her she guzzled down just shy of the full jar... with a smile. think i might start making my own soon. It will work out so much cheaper especially if she is going to be having every day


EileenB - i started Kaelyn on Nestum first cereal (in a blue box) mixed with expressed milk... and she had no objections to it... try it... but if your baba isnt desperate to get ahold of your food then maybe shes just not ready? the pics are just adorable, mine loves the tv too, but seems to prefer cricket - i think its the cheering?

Morning girls

Up early to go for an interview this morning - its that 2nd one I mentioned the other day.
Busy day ahead. Will probably not relax before 7 tonight.

DH is away from tomorrow until Thurdsay late PM. Its his first time away from us. We are going to miss him so much But its good for business so trying to stay positive.

Eileen you sound very busy! Cannot imagine running after 3 girls! Congrats on the older 2 doing so well!

Some babies just arent ready for solids before 6months. So just keep persevering, give her little at a time. Unless she actually doesnt open her mouth for it she should eat. K doesnt always seem excited about it but she doesnt stop me from giving it to her. The other day she finished a whole stage 1 bowl of butternut. Yesterday I gave her some apple which she really liked. Maybe try that?
Re the yoghurt, I think from 7 months is okay? But plain non sweetened?

Anyway better get going. Lots to do still. This getting up early is a killer!

Eileen, re: the solids. emily was exactly the same and all of a sudden she just decided that she now eats whatever you give her!!! Been eating properly for about a week now. Paed told me to just keep giving it to her but stop if she is not interested, don't force her, eventually she will take it, and Emily did!! I prefer the Olli range to the purity, the Olli tastes EXACTLY like fresh veg.

Girly, I also give cereal in the AM and Olli/Organix in the evening. For an afternoon snack, I give her a rusk. I bought the Hot -Kid Baby Mum-Mum Rice Rusk. I get it from checkers - also quite tasty. Emily loves it.
