hi ladies
am abit sick today :o(

Paed is very happy with D - she's just over 6kg and just under 65cm

We started with solids on Sat.
She spat everything out at first but today I warmed some of her formula, added a teaspoon of rice cereal and gave it to her on my finger, so she could suck it off while it was still warm and now she's eating it off a spoon!!
So now, after just 2 days she's eating 1 teaspoon 3 times a day already - so don't give up!

I just found out from my temp today (via a general email) that my boss is leaving the company and his farewell is on Fri!!!
I am so pissed off with her!!!! she couldn't even let me know earlier!
Anyway, now I'm abit worried about my position cos she's going to be working with the new boss for 4months before I get back (hopefully I will keep my position and not have to go to another dept!!!!!)

Oh my word I have had Moomie withdrawals! I am on the the net at gym! Can you believe it, internet access at gym? I've just finished a yoga class so I feel amazing!
Our adsl went out again about 10 days ago and its still not back - I'm so upset with Telkom. Apparently the exchange was hit by lightning and nobody can tell me when they will fix it. I think I'm going to cancel my telkom account and buy a cell c woosh dongle. What are all you ladies using for internet, as a matter of interest?

Wow wow wow! Its so good to catch up on your little one's progress.
John has started on veggies for lunchtime - he hated butternut! Liked carrots and loves sweet potato! I've made them all myself so far with my stick blender. So much cheaper but also obviously more time consuming. I have not had much work this month so had the time on my hands. Also I need to be online for most of my work so its just as well actually otherwise I would have had to say no to work and that is never good for a freelancer

I'm going to introduce him to fruit soon and then we'll shift his meals around, for now its cereal at about 10am and 5pm with veggies at about 2pm but I think I'll substitute the evening cereal meal with fruit. He seems to want to drop a milk feed or definitely drink less milk but I'm trying to make him drink as I think its still a bit early to drop a milk feed. But maybe I'm wrong. I need to read up in my Baby Sense book again.

He sort of sits for a couple of seconds on his own but not properly. And Charn - like Emily he can do things but doesn't show me! I thought he couldn't roll from his back to his tummy but this morning we found him sleeping on his side in his cot (he sleeps on his back). Ok that is only halfway to his tummy but still! They are so precious our little ones. I am so in love with him. I really feel like he completes my life now, me, my husband and my baby. I don't know what I'm going to do one day when he is all grown up and leaves the nest! Maybe my husband and I can travel the world then, hehe.

Girly, I hope you knocked their socks off in the interview today! You deserve a great job! I love the pic of K hugging her kitty on fb. So sweet. John has started touching our cats but they only let him get a few handfuls and then they are off - very skittish around him still.

I better go, hope all you girls are good and your babies are even better and hopefully I will re-enter the online world at home again soon

Willem is only eating cereal for now (nestum with expressed breastmilk). I'm going to wait with the veggies till he is 6 months old.

He is starting to sit on his own for a few seconds. Also, if we leave him leaning against a pillow and he falls backwards, he actually pulls himself back up to a sitting possition

We bought him a walking ring last week - he seems to love sitting in it.
