I cannot believe the changes in Emily these last few days!! She is developing at a rapid pace all of a sudden. One day she was being very lazy, next day she finally impressed me by rolling over from tummy to back and now all of a sudden she is a little acrobat!!!

She climbs right out of her bumbo seat, so I can't put her in there anymore.
She sits on her own all of a sudden
She raises herself onto all fours when lying on her tummy and rocks herself forwards and backwards, so she is now moving - practically crawling!!!
Her feet reaches the floor in her walking ring and she is moving it around and can turn herself right around in it.
she has developed a crazy sense of humour and laughs hysterically when se finds something amusing and right now everything is amusing.
She holds out her arms when we put our arms out to take her.
And, best of all she has learnt a new trick - if I put my lips together and blow through it (you know that weird sound that it makes), she mimicks and does the same thing!!! It is tooooo cute

Hey girls

What a day. Spent most of this morning at the prospective employer in Franschoek. Very nice and the GM seems keen to employ me. They have a long term goal of starting a daycare there as they have an empty rondavel which would be awesome as I could go feed her / express and see her at lunch time etc.
The issue is now one of salary. Its a bookkeeping job but with involvement in various other areas such as quality management and training etc but I need more than they were initially willing to pay. So now they will meet in the week and discuss it and we will see what comes of it. Good prospects though but they would be long term and we have short term needs unfortunately, and driving out there adds the cost of fuel.

I have a big headache now but cannot do anything but take ponado. I've been struggling with headaches the last 10 days or so. I think its got something to do with my change in diet. Didnt struggle during pregnancy so its weird and irritating.

I had my annual gynae checkup yesterday. All seems good and he says I have a healthy cervix
So get this. I spoke to him about pain during sex. He checked everything out and its all fine. So he says its just tight muscles and I must stop doing pelvic floor exercises and I must have more sex to loosen the muscles. Can you imagine DH joy at that instruction! Doctors orders are have more sex!

Eileen you need to get paid for this ! And you need an assistant!
Just dont land up overcommitting yourself. With a 5month old it cant be easy to do all you have to do! Honestly I would not be able to. Housework and babycare is what I can manage. I dont shop with her if I dont have to and certainly dont take on other obligations!

Re cereal K wasnt crazy over the rice cereal. So soon as I knew there were no allergies I switched to cerelac banana flavour.
Since yesterday she's having lunch puree too. Yesterday was pumpkin at the daycare, and today I gave sweet potato which she really liked she almost finished an entire purity jar. I need to make my own puree still just havent had teh chance yet.

Robyn your Dakota is gorgeous! She is petite like Kaylee. I do love petite girls Too cute in her hat! K is weighing 6.3 and is 2 weeks older so they are pretty on par. She was 62cm at 5months.
Yikes re the boss moving! When do you go back to work? How did you manage to stay off this long?

Sounds hectic about the nannies! I hope this one works out. Where did you find her btw?

BabyK's mom internet issues suck! We are now with ADSL through some local company. But if the infrastructure is faulty nothing you can do. Before this we were with a wireless provider ie doesnt rely on adsl infrastructure but wireless radio signals. They were more pricey though so when DH changed jobs (he worked for them) he changed our provider.
Re dropping feeds - they shouldnt be before 6months. So he might not be needing his lunch feeds just yet.

Jeanine Willem is too cute! Just follow his cues re feeding / introducing veggies. I found when K started wanting milk more frequently I increased her solids. She was asking for milk 2hourly so I felt she was ready. I had originally also wanted to wait until 6 months.
Pulling himself into a sitting position is fabulous and shows how strong he is. K tries to do it as well when she is lying flat. Not long now!

Judesmom thinking of you. Hope LG is adapting with MIL and that work is not too busy.

I cannot believe how fast our babies are growing up! Before you know it we'll be celebrating their first birthdays and some will be ttc for number 2 or 3!

Had a lovely braai with Mommy2monster and her hubby this weekend. Good food, good wine (really!), good company and our babies were so well behaved! K didnt really want to sleep so when we got home at 10 I fed her, she fell asleep right away and slept until 6am! Bliss!!!
Sadly not again though so glad I didnt get my hopes up. Was awake at 12, 3:30 and 6:30 this am.

DH in Joeys for 3 days. Was awful him not being here this am. Gonna miss him like crazy.

Shame Eileen sounds monstrous - but please don't forget to take long luxurious a moment out to relish being at home with your kids and pity those of us who don't have that luxury.

This 'soccermom' thing is hectic stuff!!!!!

I don't have a minute to myself, have to run around the whole time! Spent yesterday having photo's printed, doing grocery shopping, updating ballet profile, carting kids up and down in 46 degrees heat. All with Izibella in the worst mood ever! Had her in the arms handbag over the shoulder trying to push the pram and do all the things I needed to in the shop.

Today is art classes. Ballet again tomorow. I have to make 10 Valentines day gifts for the school as its the Gr 7's fund raising project. Any ideas? It have to be something ranging from R2 - R20 for the kids to buy their parents or boy/girlfriend for Valentinesday.
I was thinking bout getting those Yoguetta suckers and wrapping them with sellofaan (sp) with a bow and heartshaped card? Oh and this have to be at the school by the 7th.

On another topic, does anyone know Rustenburg? We have to go there for the SA Championships for Performing Arts in April and need to get accomodation for some 30 odd girls.

U girls were right, Iz eventually caught on to the cereal idea yesterday. Hopefully this time it lasts.

Superwomans's got nothing on her with the rolling around thing! Geez she's quick! I cannot turn my back anymore!

Well ladies, the queen is taking a powernap, let met RUN and take a shower, lots to do today!

Hi Mommies,

Sho its been a very long since i last posted, i am only coming back to earth now, pls give me time to read through all the posts and get updated.

I have been exhausted the past couple of weeks, Fayaz still wakes up several times at night for a feeds. He totally refused Nestum rice cereal not matter how much i tried until i decided to change to cerelac and hey presto its worked, he prefers sweet tasting food i am trying to introduced different veggies slowly mistake i made was to give him fruits first.

My mom has left after 3 weeks its was a big shocker for me to see that she is now senile she has her long term memory its just short term that is gone, she kept asking the same questions over and over so we had to watch her, it was like having triplets coz i had my lil girl (3yrs), my baby and my mom. I was exhausted big time, i spend the night feeding then go to work in the morning and when i was back make sure everyone is happy i could only have supper at 10p.m.

My nanny story is a crazy one, after my original nanny left she brought a lady to stand in for her while she was gone for a month can you imagine this lady could not even change a diaper and all she wanted was more money so in the end i just told her to leave, i went through three nannies after that to get the one i now have then nanny original comes back after a month wanting her job back, like hell i was gonna hire her back whats stopping her from just leaving the way she did.

Other than that Fayaz is growing well took him to the Paed on the 17th Jan he weights 8.7kgs he is already wearing 6-12mths clothes he is going through him milestones well, i will post some pics soon.

Sorry for the long post its been a while since laptops are banned at work looks like they might reintroduce it soon.
