Hi all,

Now that I'm home, I don't get as much time to post anymore.

Being a 'soccermom' is hard stuff! I have been running my butt off the past 3 days!

Grocery shopping, kids shopping, homework, parents evening, school gala, etc etc.

Proud mommy, Grace got 2 2nd places in the gala yesterday! Spent the entire morning next to the pool, luckily we as I told you my maikie was also there with her bubs, so we had a nice kuier also. Poor Abby was a Cheerleader for her team, and all I heard when I saw her was that her team sucked! :woohoo:

Izibella is still not having any solids. I even went as far as cooking myself and puree the food, cause purity is just sleg! But nothing. There is just nothing she likes. Our Woolies don't have the Nr 1 of their cooked baby food. So I've asked my friend to bring me some from Durban as they went there yesterday. I had some yoghurt the day before yesterday, and gave her a happie, she like that though, but had such bad cramps, and they not allowed to eat it yet. For now I'm just giving up on the solids thing. Feels like its never going to happen. Especially if I hear K sommer eating a whole jar!

I have to laugh at Iz, if she hears a paper, she gets a crazy look in her eyes and just goes ballistic! She absolutely loves a paper!

Girly, I really hope you get the job you really really want, and not just one that's available.

Kerry, ag isn't she just too nunu ma!

Oh ja, and I dinged Hubby's bus yesterday! :S Just his brand new 5 month old car......

Hey girls

Long time! I have not been this busy since K was born!
Kerry congrats on the sitting :) Kaelyn is too cute! We have the same outfit :) Is she sitting entirely on her own there? K is almost there, if she can hold onto my pants she pretty much sits. Can you believe how quickly they are growing up!??

Robyn that's great that they came to the party!
K also doesnt move around, not even in circles. I can see she tries to leapord crawl but she hasnt quite figured it out yet so doesnt go anywhere. Spends a lot of time on her tummy now cause she loves to roll from back to tummy but doesnt roll tummy to back anymore even though its what she did first.
How was the paed checkup? What did he say re the weeping ear? She may need gromets?

Blessed nice to see you on here so often :)
Sounds like you're doing very well there, as is your gorgeous little boy! Cant believe how far we've come together friend!

Charnenay thanks. Can you also see percentile for length? Someone mentioned theyre in 75th percentile for that but how do you see?
Doc wasnt concerned about her growth. She's prob in a lower percentile but she is growing consistently and not dropping on the graphs so thats fine by us.
House hunting is hard! Take your time, get your things in order, and try save equivalent to what you'd be spending on a bond while you wait - even once you put in an offer and its accepted it'll still take 2-3 months so save until you start paying your bond. You'd be amazed the things you have to buy like security gates / redo carpets / paint etc. It all adds up, especially now that banks dont grant extra on the bond amount like when we bought.

Eileen enjoying being home again? I bet you're relieved!
Janine K where are you?

I am now registered with unisa - took them 2 weeks to finalise. So guess that means I have to start studying :S 3 assignments due on 14th March so I have my work cut out for me!

This has been such a crazy week. Been for 4 interviews. All seem to have positive and negative. The back and forth, dropping K at daymother, getting ready in the mornings, expressing (cos otherwise my boobs get SO full!) and timing the drive including time spent at daymom really takes its toll. I leave home at 9 and only get back at 1, thats 4 hours all for a 40minute interview!
On Monday I have a 2nd interview wth the job in Franschoek. But I've decided that unless they can pay what I want (which is now higher figure cos of extra fuel cost) I will not be accepting it.

On Monday I have so much on. 9AM this interview in Ndabeni. Then pick up K from daymom and at 11 gynae visit (pap etc) which I'm dreading. But hopefully he can help with the tightness and pain during sex. I heard theres an estrogen cream they can give. And check out the lump I still have on my breast.
Then probably home to feed her / express. Then leave home at 1 again (prob only be home for 30mins) drop her at daymom again to go for a profile interview with a recruitment agency at 2pm which is going to take up to 2hrs. Then fetch K and finally get home by 5!

Kaylee has been quite out of sorts this week with all the dropping off at day mom. She doesnt sleep properly there, refuses to sleep in the cot or camp cot only sleeping in her car seat. And Tuesday she had bad cramps. Today she didnt want to drink but drank ferouciously when she got home and also napped a lot today. Wednesday she had an afternoon nap between 5 & 8pm and was awake after till 10. Last night we had people over during her bedtime. She never settled, kept waking and eventually went down at 10 as well. Tonight she drank milk at 5:30, fell asleep and is still sleeping 5hrs later. So her entire routine is messed up now. Poor little girl. She is still mostly in good spirits.
Oh and we started butternut purity this week. Started with Ollie on Monday / Tuesday cant recall. Ate it but not particularly interested. Yesterday she ate well. Today bought purity and she ate a whole bottle and drank some water with it a whole 50mls.
She also seems to have a big appetite atm so I may consider introducing an afternoon snack just not sure what yet cos I'm giving cereal AM and butternut PM now. Dont want to introduce fruit until I've introduced all yellow veggies.
Suggestions?

Oh and night time sleeping - she still waking 2 - 3 times a night. I dont mind provided I've had a couple hours sleep by the first waking. But from 5am she's quite restless so after this feed I sleep very lightly myself.
I found this link and free online book about the sleep regression and its helping me understand her too. Seems what we're going through is quite normal so I must just come to terms with the fact that she doesnt sleep through.

hi ladies
I somehow managed to convince Baby CIty to give me a full refund for the jumper (he he) so am going to get the walker/rocker combo soon

Dakota rolls from tummy to back and vice versa constantly, but still hasn't gotten round to actually moving forward - she moves in circles! Will try more tummy time on the ground with toys - maybe that will motivate her

Going to the paed tom for her check up (a month early but I want her ear checked - seems to be a bit of seeping/watery stuff still)

Got A&P powder but will look out for the other stuff if need be

Dakota's last bottle is 23h00 at night and then she sleeps till 06h00/07h00

I'm def a Huggies mom - hated Pampers, but D is going onto HG3 soon, so will have a look to see if I have any issues with the colour

Hi ladies..

How are you all doing?? Sorry for being MIA so much!!

I tried to catch up, but like Girly said... "MOMMY BRAIN" :P

Girly - I gave armand n quarter of a teaspoon of brown sugar in his formula for constipation. it helped a lot.
Good luck with the job hunting!! I'm sure you'll have something very soon!!!

Charnenay - Good luck with house hunting.. did you try Private Property yet? That is how we found our house..

Eileen - Those party stuff is so so cute!!! Did not even think of party arrangements. It is DH's big 30 this year.. Going to give him a theme party - GOLDEN OLDIES US OPEN (tennis)! Where do you stay? My mom stays in JHB and she bakes very nice cakes if you are interested.

Armand is doing great! He is such an angel! He roles from his tummy to his back but not the other way around. Still only 2 teeth. He also started holding his own bottle. So cute! They growing so quickly!!! 6 months already

Sleeping is going great. There were a day or two where he waked every 2hrs.. But it went back to normal very quickly! :cheer: He has his last bottle at 07:30 and then wakes at 03:00 and then only at 07:00. He also sleeps in his own room now.. BIG BOY!! It is not that bad as i thought it will be!! I think he likes it!!

Ok ladies, have a great evening! Off to V-Box class!! Only 1.5kg's to loose and i'm back where i was before pregnancy!! but i want to loose another 3!

Lots of love to your LO's!

Eileen, those plates and cups, etc. are sooooo pretty :)

girly, re: percentile growth, if you got your clinic card from Panorama Medi Clinic (which I think you did), just look at the end of the lines on the chart, it shows the percentile, then you check where her line is drawn.

househunting is going slow but we are not in too much of a hurry 'cos I believe in taking your time with big purchases - small purchases, I am super compulsive, but thankfully I take my time with big purchases. So, still looking. Found something in Richwood that we both liked, but it still needed a bit of work and it wasn't the area we wanted, so decided against it.

Paed subscribed Lacson for Emily when she was a bit constipated. It is not really a laxative, just a very mild glucose syrup which draws water to the stool and makes it easier to pass - working great for Emily.
