Hi Ladies..

Long time since i chatted!! To much to catch up Missed you ladies!

Happy New year!! May this year be filled with LOVE, PEACE, JOY and GOD'S GRACE!!

Armand is doing great! He is 5mnths tomorrow! Can not believe how time has gone! He also has his first tooth!!! Did not even notice he is teething!! Was not niggly at all!! Just put my finger in his mouth about 3 weeks ago and he bit me!! Was very surprised!! He is an ANGEL!! He also started solids today!! So cute!

My best friend had her baby yesterday!! He is so gorgeous!! First new years baby at Wilgers Hospital!!

Hellloooo been gone for a while back from holiday now... it was grand but difficult....

The ladies at the guest house we stayed at couldn't believe they didn't hear Kaelyn in the night... and couldt get over her... she smiled at everyone all the time... then we went to stay with my grandparents and they also say they have never come across such a happy/quiet baby.... yaaayyyy

The holiday was great had tons of fun, but not again soon... it comepletely messed Kaelyns sleep around, so shes only doing 5 hours at night... and the night before we came back she had finally gotten back into the rythm of a 7 hour sleep... grrrr


RE tummy time Kaelyn loves it to bits now... she rolls onto her tunny and pushes up onto her legs so her head is up and her bodys flat and her bum is as high as she can get it... lol its hillarios! oh and shes discovered she has feet... she lies on her back, 1 foot in each hand... going brrrrr blowing bubbles in her spit... today she even did it with a mouth full of food
Kaelyn also gets bored on her playgym... i have taked to putting the velcro loosely on her toys so she can get at them... it helps... i also hang other stuff up for a " scenery" change... all her other toys have been on it too... i just cant keep her entertained for long periods...

Girly i go back to work on the 10th and i must say i am dreading it... i have done all the ritgh stuff and am ready, just need to spend a few days with MIL before i go showing her what k likes, but i still wish i could stay home! I try not think about it... but its coming tooo fast

Oh Charnenay, the things to look forward to for work is a great idea... i'd like to add drinking my tea finished... but i have to scratch off puke free clother... i bet baby'll covertly get u before you leave... lol

Hey ladies

Girly, keeping fingers crossed for you. I know its going to be kind of bitter sweet if you get the job though I am starting to get teary - eyed every time I even think of the fact that in a matter of DAYS, I will have to go back to work and we miss out on sooo much. Each day, I get a bit more sad about it

Babyzee, I am thrilled to hear that Fayaz is doing so well with his nanny.

We had a few rough days with Emily, she was screaming each and every time we tried to feed her. She would not eat her cereal or drink a bottle!! On Monday, she had a bottle at 9AM and then refused to eat or drink anything for the rest of the day!!!! At 7 that evening (10 hrs later!), I was forcing a screaming child to drink a bit of milk and the tears were running down her cheeks and she was screaming at the top of her lungs because all she wanted to do was sleep but I was so scared that she would get dehydrated especially in this heat. Then, when I eventually gave up, she continued screaming for 15 more minutes because by then she was way overtired and worked up and I started crying as well. Needless to say, I needed to start doing something differently. So, that night just before I went to bed, I picked a sleeping baby up out of her cot and stuck the bottle in her mouth and she finally drank it in her sleep.

So, for the past 2 days, I have stopped the solids entirely. And, voila, we have a happy baby again!!! Tuesday and yesterday, she drank 175ml's every 3.5 to 4 hours and she finishes her bottle and no more screaming - YAY. I think I may have started solids to soon for her, so now I am going to wait until I can see that her milk is not satisfying her and only then will we start on solids again. It's all a learning process.

Went to get dh xmas gift and a few last minute things for xmas lunch yesterday and since Emily was with my mother in law, I decided to take advantage of the shopping time and managed to get myself quite a few new clothes for work. YAY!! At least I am looking forward to dressing up again, so there is 1 thing I am excited about getting back to work for - handbags, heels, new clothes, make-up, jewellery, perfume, washed AND styled hair!!!! Wow, seems like sooooo long ago. Oh, and I almost forgot - clothes that stay puke - free for more than 10 minutes I am soooooo gonna miss my little girl though.

Hi Girls,

Woowee its been a rollercoaster on my side, i went to work from the 2nd of Dec, Fayaz had not really taken to the bottle yet but i had to leave him and it worked out, i guess he just didnt want to take from me, i drove home every lunch time to feed which became pretty hectic so i guess i wont be doing it next year, lucky we closed the office on the 15th and only resume on Jan 3rd.

My mil is visiting and staying with us at the moment since Fayaz was niggly she said he must be hungry so i decided to wean him sooner than i wanted but he loves him meal so far its just one a day but she want me to give him more, i will take it at my pace.

He went through a growth spurt before i went to work and used to wake up every two hour i thought this would change after a week it didnt i was so exhausted i used to nap as soon as i get home.

He only wants mommy and nanny he refuses to go to Dh and mil he will go for a minute then he cries to be back so my nights are mine to suffer especially now that its hot he sleeps in a vest but he still sweats alot.

We have been out almost every day i am exhausted i am about to serve supper and hit the bed if i dont post soon have a Merry X-mas.

P.s Girly i am keeping my fingures crossed for you.

I think the interview went quite well.
It's in line with the things I enjoy doing and am capable of doing.
Would be in procurement department of an engineering firm so very different from what I'm used to.
And it's at Century City so way closer to home!

Only thing that may cause them not to offer me the job is salary requirements but I did say I'd rather they talk to me about it if that's the only thing stopping them from offering the job esp if there is potential to grow in the company.

They still have a few people to interview in the new year, but would need someone to start 10th Jan!!! So I would very quickly have to arrange a daymother / creche, get K used to formula taste, build up my milk supplies, get work clothes, and mentally prepare for it! It's kind of sad the thought that possibly within less than 3 weeks I'll not be at home with K anymore. As difficult as its sometimes been, I wouldnt exchange this time for ANYTHING! I'm going to miss my little girly SOOOO much

Fingers crossed and hopefully they dont leave me waiting too long.
