Well, I'm back at work
At least it means back on the internet as well

Been a hectic week, trying to get back into the work, catching up ect.

Been trying to catch up all the messages, but finally gave up... just can't concentrate for long enough.

So...

Willem doing well - had his 14 week injection 2 weeks ago, weighed in at 6.9 kg!!
stying with his ouma during the day, and seems happy with it - taking to the bottle well. So far getting enough expressed breastmilk - so no formula yet.

btw, If I express, and keep in the fridge, and MIL needs to go out, how long will the milk last?
She thinks if she goes out for 2 or more hours, the milk will go off, so she then wants to give formula

Last year this time I suspected I was preggies, but only did the first(failed) test the 13th, and got my + the 14th!!

Tummy time. Willem has no issues lying on his tummy, he lifts his head up high, and look around. After a while - about 5-10 minutes his neck gets tired, and then he starts moaning a bit, so we turn him back.

Been busy, busy today. Finished Emily's memory box (finally), wrapped all the kiddies xmas gifts, finished all the washing (ours and Emily's) and now just to marinade the meat (in-laws coming to braai), then need to decide whether or not I want to mop floors or leave it for dh to do when he gets home.

Have a busy weekend ahead - niece's creche concert tomorrow morning, shopping and beer festival in the afternoon, braai at friends place in the evening and then my nephew's first bday party on Sunday!!!! I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I think Emily knows we have a busy weekend ahead of us, she has been very sleepy today. Up for 30-45 mins max at a time, and then goes to sleep again for an hour or so. Been that way since she woke up at 8AM this morning. Had about 4 naps already all more than an hour!! She's probably only been awake for 1.5 hours the whole day!!! She doesn't have a temperature, so I'm hoping that she is just tired and not getting sick.

Emily still showing absolutely no signs of turning herself over (not even by mistake) She is not even trying lazy girl, but I know she'll get there on her own time.

I said I wasn't getting her any toys for xmas gifts, but when I went to buy everyone else's toys it was way too hard not to get her anything as well. So, she also has toys under the xmas tree!!! I got her a personalised xmas book and a bracelet charm as well and that was supposed to be her gift, now she has toys also!! Dh also getting her something, but I'm not sure what. I think he is building her a bookshelf or something.

Going to be back home in JHB for new years but havent got anything planned, hubby has to work on the first though so probably wont do much...

and then its my birthday on the second... yippee pressies!!!!!

ah well wont be checking in again until le new year so cheers for now ladies!

Oh ja and for new years, we are going to friends and they have a cottage on their property so we can sleep over and won't disturb them if I get up in the night for John. Also we can drink and not worry about driving! Yippee!

Shame M2M, I am also praying for you and Liam. And how is Jadon feeling? I hope your boys come right soon so you can have a joyful and stress-free Christmas.

I also suspected I might be preggers this time last year but I only did a HPT on Christmas Eve, the 24th and that's when I officially found out. Can't believe its been a whole year but then again, so much has changed and my life is completely different now!

John is normally so good with other people, he smiles at everyone and talks to them and loves meeting new people. But I think maybe its all getting a bit much as last night we went out to friends for dinner and although he was fine when we got there, I think I missed his sensory overload cues and all of a sudden he was crying like he has never cried before. I took him into my friend's bedroom and tried to calm him down for close to an hour. My poor baby, I felt very bad and told my husband I think we needed to go home, and then John fell asleep - into a deep sleep, I think the crying was the biggest workout he has had! He woke up when we left and put him in the car but then slept all the way home and went straight to sleep in his cot at home. He woke up at 3am and was very niggly, I was up about 5 times putting the dummy in and had decided that if he cried again I would offer him the boob, but he went back to sleep and only woke up at 7h00 this morning! An absolute miracle cos he has never made it passed 5h30. I think he was just so tired from visiting - we went to my Mom's bible study Christmas lunch on Wed and he hardly slept the whole day, even though I tried repeatedly to put him down. I like to say he has FOMO - fear of missing out - just like his mother

Re: tummy time - up til now he has hated it when I put him on his tummy, moaning and crying and snorting - but all of a sudden on Monday afternoon he held his head up high while on his tummy and smiled at me - so I think his muscles have strengthened enough for it to not be so uncomfy as before. But there is no sign of him rolling yet, he has rolled from his tummy to his back but I think its been accidental, as in he leans to the side when he is on his tummy and then oopsie daisy he falls onto his back
I'm not worried though, he'll pass his milestones when he is ready I'm sure.
My friend's little boy is 2 now and he never crawled - he shuffled around everywhere on his bum (and he was very fast too). Then he progressed from there to pulling himself up and then he only starting walking at 15 or 17 months, can't remember which one. But he is absolutely normal and the paed said that bum shuffling instead of crawling is more common than we think!

I hope you girls all have a wonderful weekend! My DH is taking leave next week but I have tons of work so I won't be able to spend time with him but at least he can look after John while I work.

Just back from taking Kaylee for her last weigh in (for now).
She gained 120grams in 4days, so thats back to her normal 30grams a day - and guess what - I'm doing nothing different!

Got myself a vit B injection while I was there. Yikes I forgot how much they burn!

K only woke at 4:30 this am and then again at 7 and yet I'm still so tired! Think my body's realising that for months it hasnt gotten more than 6hrs a night and now an extra hour and it starts craving more.

Charnenay thats awesome! Our friends are SO loud they all try speak above each other and it really gets very loud. I guess if shes tired enough she'll fall asleep but she wont stay asleep.
Sounds like good progress for you though. I want to go to dinner with DH, just the two of us Have not done so since K was born.

We'll probably just have a family thing as we're in Gordons Bay from 24th - 1st. I'm so over these types of celebrations though. I sound old lol. But staying up to midnight is not something that intrigues me at the moment.

I'm waiting patiently for the company whose doing my CV professionally to send it back to me. I gave them the documents they requested on Tuesday and getting impatient. I want to / need to start sending my cv out now. Just the thought of having to go back to work freaks me out. I've been at home 4 months now and cant remember what its like to work and esp the thought of a new job that I'll have to learn from scratch is a bit daunting.
