So sorry Joybaby, i hope things turn around for you soon A client of mine is looking for an office manager and i thought of you the moment they asked me, but its in JHB

Flowergirl WOW thats excellent! Kaelyn is still only using one word... the paediatrician was a little concerned when we were there on friday, said we had better keep an eye on it and if she isn't using two word "sentences" in two months we should go back and test the ears and possibly do speech therapy.

But on the plus side she is still perfectly on her percentile lines in height and weight and is unbelievably well above in gross motor skills. Fine motor skills are on par though

oh and she recommended getting shoelaces and showing K how to thread them through a piece of card. And more time on the shape sorter as K gets rather frustrated with it... If necessary we must put tape on all except one hole and only give her one shape.

I find i need to give her one shape at a time and point to the hole it belongs in.

and in other news there was a baby shower in my department today and i made a nappy cake... my first, and not only did it come out tremendously well it created quite a stir in the office he he everyone came to say they liked it

As for me, I am feeling soooo miserable lately!! No idea why - I am soo tired and just not lus for anything I drag myself to work each morning. Yesterday, I had the worst stomach pains ever, left work at 1.30 and just slept when I got home. DH cooked supper and my mom bathed Em and put her to bed. I felt so bad because I was only going to lay down for a little bit, but when I woke up, everyone was asleep already (including Emily) so i hardly spent any time with her yesterday. Today, the stomach pain is gone, but I am sooooo exhausted. Not sure what is happening, but I should probably go for a check-up to make sure all is ok.

I am completely amazed at how quickly Em is progressing the last few days - she is talking soooooooo well and has become so good at letting us know what she wants, she has learnt to make herself understood now and it is sooo cute. This morning I was upstairs doing my make-up and I heard her and my mom downstairs. My mom said to her: "take 5", she did and then I heard her tell the dog: "Hoxy (roxy), come Hoxy, take 5" - ADORABLE!!!

I saw in the cape times about the collision, poor people.
My one old work friend's hubby had a fall on his own, and has multiple shoulder arm and hand injuries. He's having surgery tomorrow to repair it. And he was going for 3hrs20mins which is very good!

BabyKsmom so glad John is doing well! Sweet about how well behaved he was during the hair cut!
Shew you must enjoy your holiday! I am super jealous Could really do with a break myself!

Riffa thanks for your sweet post. We have all come a long way, and hope that you feel just as welcome! We used to chat all day long but things got busy once LO's arrived, and returning to work etc. But I'm very glad we still chat save a few members.

You're very lucky with the teething! K hasnt struggled too bad. She cut 8 at the same time about 6 weeks ago! She's cutting 2 at the moment, then I think she's done until the back molars.
I know 2 moomie moms from Port Elizabeth if you'd like me to put them in contact with you for some play dates? Both lovely It can be very lonely with just the kids to keep you company. Why did you relocate?

Regarding Weight Watchers - I lost 18kgs the first time I was on it 8 years ago. It's a slow loss, around 500 grams a week. I was also gyming twice a week and walking 5kms a day and even so it took 9 months to lose the weight.
I maintained for abt 2 years but then got busy, got a car so stopped walking, no time for gym and started cheating on the diet. Needless to say I have literally doubled my weight in the last 6 years - scary and sad, but true.
I do have an eating problem, it is my addiction like others have alcohol or hobbies. But I am trying to follow the points programme again, and transferred my gym membership to a gym closer to our house recently so that I can get exercising again. Unfortunately I am so nauseous that I just cant do it right now. Maybe next month it'll subside.
So if you have ANY weight watchers questions I'll be happy to help!

AFM besides for all day nausea that only seems to get better at night, I am doing well. The nausea means things are going well in the pregnancy. So far its going much smoother than the last 2 for which I'm grateful.
I have my first scan on Friday at 8 weeks.
Kaylee is doing very well too. Running around without a care in the world.
She is back at the daymom a few hours a day (except today was all day so I could do job search and clean house) and very happy there. She also eats much better. I'm always told how she finished her meals, and I cant believe it cos we struggle so much with that here.
It'll be a while before we know much regarding the chances of recurrence of the repair they did, will have an echo in about 3 months time.
Otherwise not much news to report except for the usual. Still searching for work, the ones I applied for last month all seem to have fallen through.
We're having to sell my car and move in with the inlaws till the situation changes.
I dont mind it per se and I know Kaylee will love it, but its a small 2 bedroom house which is a bit daunting as I'm not sure how we'll ever have any privacy at this rate.
Hopefully it wont be for too long and then we'll look at renting a place as our place the tenant will sign a 6 month lease.

hi moms,vsorry I haven't been on moomies for so long, I just about have enough time to read everyone's psots but not enough to post myself. All good my side though, John recovered quickly from his tonsilitus and had his first hair cut last weekend, it was so cute. The dude left his curls at the top but took off all the lonh hair at the back that was matting and knotting. We went to Dippity Doo in Linden, what a sweet place, coloured paintings on the walls and pocahontas on the tv and John sat in this cool "car" seat and pressed the hooter and stuff and didn't really know that his hair was being cut.
Otherwise, we are going away from the 19th to the 23rd March - to Mabalingwe - I cannot wait! Just want to kick back and relax for a bit.

Hopefully I can post a bit more this week.
