Well, it's official - we're going to have an October baby!!

Managed to get out the office yesterday to buy a test - took it this morning, 2 very dark lines
(so I was right for DH's birthday last week - it was a week before AF, that's why the 2nd line was so feint, but it was def there!)

So we will move into our big house when I'm 6 months preggie and I'll be doing my first Xmas lunch with a 2 month old!!

Hello ladies

Sorry I haven't replied in so long, just been busy preparing for the new job, finishing off old work and sorting out John etc. It was my first proper day today - it was good. Once I get the hang of things I think I'm going to really enjoy working there. Wed and Thurs are "long" days - we work until the ads are finished. But it wasn't too bad today - I got home at 18:30 and got to spend some time with J. He gave me the cold shoulder for 5 minutes but then was fine. Little munchkin, tugging on Mom's heartstrings

BabyZee - shoo wee girl, I can't imagine how you must have been feeling, what a thing to go through. Poor little Fayaz. so glad he is recovering well now. Hopefully the nightmares go away fast. It is super hot in Jozi too - imagine being heavily pregnant in this weather? Oh my word I just remember how hot I was in the winter before John was born, I can't imagine being heavily pregnant in Summer.

Robyn how exciting! Holding thumbs and toes that AF does not make her appearance. Good luck!


Joybaby, I see on fb that Kaylee's op has been postponed to Monday - as you say girl, its all in God's will. Praying for you xx

Cols and Jeanine - what time do your boys normally sleep in the mornings? I was thinking, why don't we make it earlyish - like 9/9:30? We might be going to Gold Reef City in the afternoon so if I can, it would be nice to have a break between the two things. But if you girls would prefer to meet later in the morning, its okay, we'll still come through. I have to warn you - John is still doing his grabbing faces thing. Although, I've only noticed him grab girls faces. Maybe if he grabs your boys faces they will grab him back and he might learn from it. I know its just something they do but it can be so embarrassing - we went to a party on Sunday and he was grabbing my 2 close friends' little girls faces. The birthday girl kept on crying whenever he looked at her. (but at the end of the party they were playing happily together - go figure).

Cols, can't wait to hear about your holiday. I've been dying to go up the West Coast, never been that far up.

Robyn you are one strong lady, i would have taken the test already. Please dont put us in suspense i was holding my breath while reading your post hoping for good news.

Joybaby i wish you a successful op on Thursday i will keep you in my prayers. I think a Dec baby is cool you get alot of help coz everyone is on leave and good pressies for baba in the future coz guys save up for the holidays. What i am not keen on is a Jan baby i would rather have a Feb baby.

Thanks all for the good wishes Fayaz is doing very well. Problem is he hits and bites alot. My poor DD is bitten all the time. He also wakes up 3-4 times at night crying i think it might be night terrors of maybe he remembers what happened at the hospital, he was injected many time.

Ladies keep cool, its very hot Fayaz just stays in a diaper all wholeday.

Still cant believe our kiddies are on the verge of 18months old now!

Kaylee's operation is on Thursday.
We have to be at the hospital before 2pm tomorrow to check in. Then the afternoon will probably be spent with lots of blood tests/ x rays / consults with anaethetist /cardiologist / surgeon etc.
Thankfully it will be a first thing in the morning operation, so we wont have to deal with a hungry awake child, she will have to fast from around 2am if I recall correctly.
She'll be given a sedative before going into theatre on Thursday morning. Shew all the memories are swimming back from a year ago.
We'll spend 3-4 days in ICU and afterwards another 3-4 days in the general ward.
Cape Town friends you are most welcome to come visit once we're out of ICU.

We wont be TTC'ing this month, because O is this weekend and our focus is with K.
I was thinking about not trying March either cause I'm not too keen on a December baby.
This is so hard though because logic tells me to wait until I am permanent in a job, and out of probation before going on. But I really dont want to delay the family making progress because of work, we really want K to have a brother or sister within the next year.
But financially we are stuck at the moment. If I dont find a job within the next week (not the best timing) we'll have to rent ours out and go stay with the inlaws for 6 months to at least have the bond paid, but then still be stuck on other expenses.
Trying times people!!!

Okay vent over!!! Life can be hard some times!!!

Kaylee is talking sooooo much! She can do all the sounds of farm animals, dogs cats etc. She says the names of her friends, and oumie, oupie, granny, grandpa.
And her newest words today was 'cool girl'. She also says "Sies" and "Dirty" and throws the item in the bin - too cute!
She tends to hit me though, I dont think she realises her strength sometimes. And if I knick her bottom for being naughty she hits me back.
She's bored with her toys now, she is definitely growing up. I've bought her a few push cars, and a xylophone cause she seems to be enjoying that now.
I bought her a potty last week. She points at it and says 'poo' but she doesnt like sitting on it yet. But if I say lets go change your poo she'll get up and go to the change station and wait for me.
And she absolutely loves putting on shoes and clothes now. If I take out some shoes she'll go sit in the lounge on the floor so I can put them on for her.
Ag I could just eat her up!!!
Granny & Grandpa bought a very cool blow up pool last weekend which she absolutely loves. Unfortunately she wont get much use out of it this summer cause for 6 weeks she'll not be able to submerge her cut into water

Anyway I better finish off - got some CV sending to do again!

Sigh - work has been so hectic lately!!!! Only left work at 19h00 on Thurs, 20h00 on Fri ( )
and late again yesterday - so much for my 8-4 day
I haven't even had a chance to get another test, so I don't know
altho AF was meant to come this week and still nothing - so def holding thumbs!
