Hey Ladies

Things are happening so quickly now. :) Blink and he is doing some thing else.

BOJ Luke is too cute.

Pinky we went up to Joeys 2 weeks ago and Graeme was totally thrown out of his schedule and his sleeping pattern went out the window. He is now back into only waking up once at 2 am ( only slept through 3 times) it took a week for him to get back into it. If you would like to hold out on solids, give her a week to get back into being at home and the schedule and then see?

I need advise please. I have started donating breast milk, how do I get in an extra full feed? If Graeme misses a feed I get just over 100mls if he doesn't I can only get 50. How much do you get?

The daktarin is a gel, taste nice so they don't mind!

Have you received your book yet scribblingal?

Karla has been sleeping funny these couple of days... She wakes up at 2 and then again at 5 and then at 6:30... Maybe we must start solids or is it just because of the holiday and not her own bed and room... What do you ladies think?

Aw Bundle, your little man is adorable. Can't believe he's so big already! Keep us posted on how the solids are going. How old is he now? 8kg - wow, that's a solid little chap.

Hi Ladies

Took Luke to the paed last week monday as we wanted to get some info on starting Luke on solids. He weighed 8kgs and all happy and healthy.

He told us we can introduce solids. Also put him on Reuteri drops which helps with the immune system seeing he will be starting daycare soon, Floride drops to help the developing teeth and a multivitamin...all these things!! But if it helps keep him healthy then its all good. He has not had any sickness so far so my breastmilk has clearly helped keep him healthy.

So we started him on Porridge (Purity rice cereal that you add your own milk), he is still not too sure what to do with it when its in his mouth, kinda just moves it around with his tounge and pushes it out his mouth, don't know if he swallows much at all, but we will keep trying and I'm sure he will get the hang of it. Going to do this for 2-3 more weeks and then will introduce some veggies.

I'm going back to work 1st Oct, can't believe that 6 months flew by so quick! Its going to be terrible leaving my boy, but I am busy negotiating to work shorter hours 9-3pm so I get to come home a bit earlier to atleast spend some time with him.

I plan to continue breastfeeding in the morning and evening and when he is at creche he will be on formula.

Here is a pic of Luke feeding himself..well almost..hee..hee..

The rueteri drops are for everyone, but you can only get them at a dispensary because they need to be kept refridgerated! They work fantastically.

Re the reuteri drops for baby - can you use the normal reuteri or is there an infant one?

Is the Daktarin a gel or a liquid (for baby's mouth)?
