Hi girls. I'm so tired and misluk and irritated! Just hope my life get sorted soon.

Ya we will try fight the insurance and see what happens. What else can we do? We can't sell the car as we still owe too much on it. But like I said to DH - there's nothing really we can do - just carry on - and this too shall pass. So right now I will most probably go back to work in May and continue with the shoot on weekends to make extra money. I'm just heartsore. This will mean that the girls will have to stop their swimming lessons, I will have to stop breastfeeding and I will have to continue working evenings to edit pics etc. and do shoots on weekends while DH watch the kids. I've been doing that since Megan was 5 months and she's much closer to her dad than to me. Even when she draws a picture she will draw herself next to her dad. When she picks a flower, it's for her dad and not for me .

Lucy and EmsMom - don't wait for it to all go pearshaped - just enjoy your calm babies. I'm sure it won't change. Callum has been a bit difficult and I went out to buy telament drops, colic drops and tissue salts. The telament drops made him vomit so I can't give him that. The colic drops I used maybe 4 times - when he wouldn't stop screaming at all - but I don't like the high alcohol content. The tissue salts I gave him 3 nights and after that he just stopped screaming. Last night he screamed again for a bit, but maybe like 15 minutes - I then gave him a long warm bath and he was fine after that. Kayla was a very easy baby - just never cried - so hopefully your girlies will be the same.

Callum gave us some more smiles - really sweet - but he sleeps most of the day. During the night he is in bed with me - so I don't keep track of waking / feeding times. Doesn't bother me much cause when he wakes, I just feed him like that - without picking him up and then we continue sleeping. I don't change his nappy during the night anymore as well - no poo bum .

I photographed twin babies today - they were so tiny - 10 months old and the smallest one is now weighing 4.2kg - they were very prem and their mom died as well - shame the dad must have had a rough time. He is married again and the 'mom' seems really nice. They were so organized - even brough hot water with them to warm the bottles!

BettyF / EmsMom - I was convinced that I would birth Callum with no screaming. So now I am wondering whether I would really be able to. Contractions weren't sore for me either. I still tried to argue with my gynae that I wasn't in labour with Callum - cause I had no pain - but he showed me the contractions on the monitor. Em's Mom why did you guys decide to eventually go for a c-section with Em? Did you not dilate? Sorry if you've told us already, must have missed it. Sjoe BettyF - 15 hours in labour is really long! Kayla was 8 hours and Megan 3 hours.

Betty - newborn clothing really depends on how big your baby is. Kayla fitted into newborn for quite long - she was 2.6kg at birth. Megan who was 3.1kg only fitted into newborn for about month. Callum is now wearing newborn and he is 4.2kg. He also fit into the smaller 0-3month clothing. I would say don't buy too much, especially if you can do washing often. I think Callum's got no more than 6 outfits. If you are not going to do washing daily maybe a bit more. They really do grow so quickly out of their clothes. I also don't think you should buy any summer clothes. Callum never wore his summer outfits - they are still in the cupboard.

MistyMom - he he on the Gaviscon. When we found out I was pregnant DH came home with 4 bottles of Gaviscon! And I though he was crazy and he just said - I know what you went through with Megan he he, but I never had such bad heartburn with Callum - just a little. Wonder if your baby will have lots of hair - why do you think so? Do you swim at gym with your big tummy? Must be awesome!

Rakker - I am so sorry for your scare. It does bring perspective. Not nice that you had to go through that, but I am so happy that it ended well.

Misty - There is hope for you ........ I am the worlds worst insomniac!! So I hope you get a snoozy baba too.

Kaylae - You are a special lady.

Joli - sh#t is all that there is to say. What is the reason for not paying, can you not argue it? Man I hope an answer comes for you.

Emsmom - I am also kind of waiting for things to go pear shaped!

Schatsie - I am so pleased you are home and well. I am sure you don't have too much longer to wait.

Kimika - You are so busy .... supermom! I wanted to ask you. I remember R having green nappies, what did it end up being and how long did it last. T has gone from the perfect wholegrain mustard poo to a green whole grain mustard and seems a bit more gripey than normal?

Schatsie - so pleased that your BP is stable and that you are home with DH and your doggies. Take it easy and enjoy your last 2 weeks.
It must have Gwen so strange to hear all that screaming. I was in labour for 15 hours before I had a c section with Matthew. I was given oxytocin?? to bring on the contractions. That pain was nothing that I have ever experienced or will ever forget. I never made it to the screaming part, but I can imagine that I would have gotten there... One wonders how the likes of eg.Katie Holmes managed with a drug free, silent birth? Perhaps it is Mind over matter? Or some type of Hypnobirthing techniques?

Amy- so pleased the birth went well. After my c section I showered the next day, my gynae told me to get up and shower. I think that the dressing over the cut was waterproof, but I still tried to avoid getting it wet. Re: the stitches, I had stitches and the also this clamp like thing with staples, so I never actually saw the stitches. But it was sensitive for a long while afterwards.
Enjoy this special time with baby, hope the recovery goes very well!

Rakker- sorry you had such a bad experience... It must have been awful. So glad everything is alright! Sometimes, I also think to myself that I can't remember feeling baby move today - and then get in a panic....
Good that you went straight to the gynae, better to be safe.

Terrible that the insurance won't pay. They are really sharks, will do everything in their power not to pay.

MistyMom- sounds like you are well prepared for LO 's arrival. Bet you can't wait to add pink or blue into the mix of things! Yay on 38 weeks- is that considered term?
I have had a good nights rest, but as usual woke up sparrow time..
For me going full term, he compared it to my previous pregnancy where M was 2 days late.
I am not having a planned c section. Gynae is happy to let me go into labour naturally- and to take it from there. Although he did express some concern about it on Wednesday, so it sounds like it will probably end up being a c section. Also if no baby by 29 April then I think he will give me a c section date. So we wait and see.

AFM- no plans for the weekend... Going to my brother later to watch the rugby. Have been betting on it on Superbru- I have been top of the log since week 1 so the pressure is on. Of course the rest of the family in our group are up in arms, as I am the only lady in the group and they can't oust me from the top lol....men.

Was just wondering how much new born clothing one should buy? How long do you think this will fit baby?

37 weeks for me now, 3 more to go! Exciting times xxx

AFM - cant beleive I have been on ML for a week! Did all the last last last minute things today (once again baby shopping but sure I now have everything!). Also have washed all baby clothes and bedding etc! We have carpet cleaners coming next week fro the whole house (then think I will finally be happy with nursery).

Was so hot again in CT but at least was not working adn had lovely sleeps between the loads of washing.

Well today (well yesterday actually now that I see it is 12.30am) I am 38 weeks! Got a flu vacination today as well. CHecked with gynae and he said it was fine! Last thing I want is a new born and Fly. He actually told me that the most deaths from Swine flu where pregnant women in first world countries in 3rd trimester! So anyway afetr hearing that thought would definitly get one. So went to Canal Walk this am...had a loevly wimpy breakfast (with a coffee milkshake), then clicks, discem, woolies and edgars. The last thing i had to get was a littelgrooming set (releised did not have a brush fro baby and if it is going to take after me and with all this bloody heartburn think it is going tobe born with loads of hair!). Also bought Gaviscon which hopefully is the last bottle I will have to buy in years!

NO major plans fro the weekend...Maybe a little swim at gym...but besides that jsut relaxing. SO glad my list is now empty! Packed and repacked hopsital bags tonight and finally am happy!

SO guess now its just the waiting game.....I will be happy anytime from next week!

Shame seems like so many of you are having ADSL line problems! Stupid Telkom. Must admit so happy we do not have a landline (we have wireless internet) which rarely gives problems (touch wood!)

Meags - hope the gate is fixed, or the rain has stopped! WHat a nightmare. Yay that the cord is gone Went to get evening primrose today adn was told I cant take it when pregnant!?! Stupid women...so she put me off buying it!

Faw - congrates on the divorce...Glad the ex did not pitch, sure it made it easier for you. Now that you are getting somewhere I am sure that is a huge weight off your shoulders!

Betty - hope by now you are fast asleep and resting well. Glad to hear the nursery is coming along...and that you have a new jug Saw them again today and reallyw ant one but dont know yet if I need teh pink or blue! Yes i did notice teh piggy tie! Looks like we both going to go to term, although now that he has said that to you maybe he just says it to everybody (yes me wishing and making things up in my head again). Only 2 appointments to go. Are you having a planned c section? Why cant he give you a date now? Hope M's ear all on the mend with the antibiotics! At least your PA back so sure the last few weeks of work will be a little easier!

Rakker - how is the cold? Shame i would have also feaked out! Always better to rush to doc...imagine you did not and something was up and you went to late? Glad it was ll just a littel scare! Luckily I have not had anything that bad. Just the one day when sudden i coul dnot remmeber baby moving all day so drunk tea and was poking adn pushing and moving around and only after about 20 minutes did I at alst feel something...was beginning to think shou;d go to gynae!
OOH 36 weeks...you in the last month stretch now!

Joli - shame about the car! What a nightmare! They are so damn expensive cars, and to fix! MAybe a patch up cheapy job and sell ASAP? Good idea giving that lady a freebie family shoot...at least that way she will hopefully use you again! Sweet that you have a nappy changer and pram pusher! Has Cullum smiled again? Hope you catch it on camera soon!

Scahtsie - sure its goo dto be in your own bed with your doggies around! Had a good LOL at the screaming labour lady...sure that will be us very soon! Sure its better waiting for anouther week! I am so impatient like you, but deep down know its best fo baby to come when the time is right for baby, not mommy!

LucyW - enjoy teh family and weekend! Fantastic that Tessa slept fro 5 hours...hope I have a good baby like that (althought dout it cos I am such a bad sleeper!)

Emsmom - cant wait to see those pics...and wow sound sliek you ahve been so busy! LOL y does baby city freak you out?

Ya Joli I hear that the pushing the for most women the most painful part - even at hypnobirthing we were told that is the point when we are most likely going to ask for pain relief. Sadly I never reached that point. But at least I know that contractions - at least for me - didnt hurt.

Ya, still too busy, I can feel I'm over doing it and need to slow down, but I somehow cant make myself.

Its horrible about the insurance not paying, I mean its almost cheaper to my a new car than to get yours fixed! Any chance that you can trade the car in or something?

Glad the screaming has stopped! For me it seems Kate has been too perfect and I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop so too speak.

Still no news from Anje - ai ai - hope all is OK - I'm sure it is.

Em's Mom - I didn't scream while I was in labour - I screamed while I pushed my babies out - up to then - the pain was bearable. The pushing out was bad for me - but once again - all women are different and yip some women will push without screaming. Can't wait to see Kate's pics - I'm sure they will be really special. He he Kayla was very happy when I said she can change the nappy - but she is nearly 8. You still are one busy woman hey!

Shame Rakker - glad all is OK. Can just imagine how you must have felt.

Schatsie - maybe this is your last baby free weekend hey! Enjoy.

Callum has settled these last couple of nights. Seems he screaming has stopped. The only thing I'm battling with is that he does not want to feed full feeds - he drinks a little more often. He's still just being breastfed which is lovely.
