Joli agh man I am so sorry re the insurnace and money woes and the impact it will have on your work arrangements that's really k*k and I hope that it comes right and you can organise things in the way you would like sooner rather than later. Callum sounds like he is doing soooo well!! William is also 4.2 kilos now and also smiling - not all the time though so we are always on the lookout for a smile shame man it's so beautiful hey! saw the pic of Callum on fb - too precious hey!

Meags i'm sooo glad you made progress with the chiro how awesome but sorry to see then you had a rough night , as Betty says they have their good and bad days but it's wonderful that M is now having good days too as well as the hard ones!

Schatsie OMG this just seems never ending I am glad you got discharged but hoping for a delivery soon soon. you have had it rough hey and are doing so well!

Oh Kimika I am dreading W's jabs on monday sorry to hear R didn't like them and then seemed constipated but how clever you are re the supp's! And awesome you got such a quick and big result! W also seemed constipated last wkend and I gave him a water bottle in between feeds and that also did the trick! Alot of friends ask me HOW do you deal with the poo LOL they don't realise that for me seeing a nice big firm poo is a wonderful happy sight LOL!

AFM - W remains beautiful and sweet and lovely! He really just does not cry. When madly hungry he will cry (his angry little cry) but I honestly don't think he has cried for longer than 2 mins max since he was born. If he gets picked up or gets the dummy or his bottle he stops crying immediately Thank GOD! Last night though he was v niggly from about 1.30am maybe I should have just left him but fed him and then was up with him for about 2hours he didn't realyl cry just that unsettled moaning shame but this morning is right as rain the little angel but I'm pretty tired as a result!! Usually these days I'm still up at 11pm -ish (depending on when last feed was) 2-ish then 5-ish don't really mind it esp as most time (not last night!) he has bottle, is burped then is down sleeping and it's pretty much under an hour sometimes even 30 mins. So it's fine really. LIke I said not looking forward to the jabs I'm absolutely horrified that they actuaally get SICK and SORE as a result! I mean really can't they do it in liquid form! Anyway must affirm that it all goes without a hitch and W copes well poor little thing. My friend said to give him calpol half an hour before and not be in the room so he does not associate me with the needles. I think I will def take dh along.

Apart from almost halfway through my ML - unbelievable!!!!

Schatsie- glad you had a good time at De Kelder...yay on the prizes. DH and I also used to go there before M was born
Unfortunately, I kept thinking that I have everything from first baby so I never really did much shopping etc prior, so now I am having to run around getting things organized. Still got about 3 weeks.... But yes I am getting a bit worried now as things are taking me longer than I expected, all the washing and cleaning up of the clothing, toys and baby furniture. But I still feel great, no swollen hands or feet yet.
Sorry to hear that you had another BP scare... Best to get as much rest as possible so that you can stay at home and not in hospital for your last 2 weeks. Don't forget to take those BP pills.

Lucy- Tessa is so beautiful, so is growing so nicely, and yes does nit look like a new born.

Meags- aarg about the bad night. You will have good days and bad days...hope the good ones get more and more. I mentioned earlier that I used to play music to Matthew and sit with him in the rocking chair this used to help calm him. DH also used to walk him up and down the house for hours. Do you give him anything when he screams? Are you trying to follow a routine?
Oh no about the lump.. Hope it goes away...

AFM- tired after the weekend- went to the in-laws yesterday for lunch, so at least I didn't have to cook! Matthew slept in the afternoon, so I got to watch a little bit of American Idols. DH tested out the infamous hair washing jug on M. Unfortunately he pushed his head forward and all the water went into his eyes. Shame he really hates washing his hair... Any how after big tears, he came to tell me that Daddy put water in his eyes. I tried to explain that he needs to keep his head back. Hopefully it will be better next time?

Another week of work for me....and the school holidays are over so the dreaded traffic will be back

Jessica how often does he feed? You must feed or pump every 2 hours to increase supply. After each feed, pump for 10 minutes each breast even if nothing comes out. The more stimulation-the more milk.

Schatsie sorry about your scare.

I have had the worst 24 hours. Matt screamed from 8pm-2am. Then I had tp pump so finally got to sleep at 3am. Then he woke at 6am for a feed, I needed to pump so got back to sleep after 7. Then he woke at 9 again on top of that I have blocked milk ducts in the right breast and have a huge lump about 5cmX5cm and no matter how much I pumpn put warm compress, massage etc, its not going away. Pumped then sat in the bath for 30 mins and hand expressed while massaging-still nothing. Have to pump every 2 hours now to try sort it out before it becomes infected. Putting ice on inbetween. I am totally exhausted and dreading tonight

meags - what can I do to increase my milk supply (and/or quality)?

Kimika - Thanks for all the info about the BFing and the squint. I am now trying to make sure she gets to the "pudding" !! I have my midwife and the paed on tuesday so if it doesn't come right then I'll ask them too. But what you say makes super sense to me. Thanks again.
