Well at last the internet seems to have sorted itself out...so f osome long overdue personals:

Betty - hope baby has sorted itself out and is now head down...when is your next appointment? Glad you had a nice baby shower...did try that link but it did not work! Did any Aprill fool catch you? I love 1 April as it is my wedding anniversary.

Schatsie - good idea to have lots of visitors and avoid cabin fever! Hope you are enjoying your leave...still does not feel like I am on leave yet, but sure it will feel that way next week. Have a few things on my list I need to work through so got a bit to do, but am looking frward to late sleeps and not doing much. Glad you enjoyed the shoot! Cant wait to see some pics...I should be getting mine this week. As long as I have 1 chin and dont look fat, but rather pregant I will be happy! Was also nervous fo mine, but photographers always put you at ease!

Emsmom - happy belated birthday...hope it was an extra special one spent with your growing family! So glad your little girl arrived to share it with you! Was looking at your pics on FB and you looked so relaxed pre birth! And she seems so chilled...hope mine is teh same

Meags - hugs to you and all you have been through! Wow sometimes life just does not seem fair! AT least Mathieu is drinking the breast milk. I think you have made the correct decision and the last think M needs is a stressed out mom! And regarding the bonding I am sure form now it will go from strenghtht to strength. Hope that first glass of bubbbly did not hot you too hard! Was jelous when saw the pic on FB...cant wait to pop our champers when we get home. Regarding trying again once your mom has left...cross that bridge when you get to it. Just take each day as it comes! How is your relationship with DH through all this? Are you sharing your feelings with him? Hope he is been supportive! HUgs again...you are so brave and a WONDERFUL MOMMY!! OH MY WORD....THE PICS ARE JUST TOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

Lucy - het glowing mom...sounds liek you are still on a high! Hope the bleeding has stayed away...am dredding that bit! GLad teh Jaundice sounds like it i ssorted and that DH is hands on and helping out! Reading all the posts re feeding and sleeping has made me reliese how different each baby is. I am taking notes and hoping that I get into a good routine when we get home. Its so exciting reading about how you approach everything...remember onky a few weeks back when you were posting pics of nursery! And now you have your baby in it! I love teh essays and they are far from boring!

Joli - love the ten week pic...colours are just too beautiful...hope you have a better week this coming week

AnjeD - MUST BE any day now...really hope to hear some goo dnews soon. YOu seem so chilled, if it was me think i would be going crazy by now! Shame man...you really dont need house guests when you about to go into labour (even if it is family)...at least they are now gone! Good luck for tomorrow at the hospital!

Tazzzy glad to hear that Amelia is an angle...as I was saying to Lucy its great to read how every baby is differnet. Sounds liek you are coping well! Cant beleive she is already a month!

Kimika - looking froward to wedding pics, glad you had a great time!

Faw - aaaaagggghhh money the root of al evil! Shame man....seems you and meags are having a bad time, but I am sure when you look into your babys eyes your heart just melts and you can froget about life for a minute and just feel the love...things I am sure can only get better!

Hi to anybody I have missed out on!

AFM - been a nusy weekend. We did a massive stock up big shop this morning! (lol think we have enough toilet paper till september!). Then i made scones and a roast this afternoon! Have a little list of thing si need to work throught the next 2 days then wnatto rest amd do nothing teh rest of the week. Then any time from next Friday when I am 38 weeks this baby is welsome to join the world! Feeling so left out reading about feeds and sleeping patterns etc....it sliek I cnat relate to it yet! So am looking very forward now to meeting you ladies in mommy land

hi ladies! Will write more tom - w will be six weeks tom and was a champ in dullstroom and particularly in the car! But just wanted to say wow meags you doing great i aree with lucy i may be a new mom like her and you but i know in my bones mother knows bes!!! so you do whats right for you and in keeping with yr own good judgment. Trust me matt willl look as adoringly at u over a bottle as he would a boob arent u great giving him ebm! And thr photos Omg stunning stunning what a gorgeous well done

Lucy - definitely sounds like a growth spurt!

anyone have any idea how I do the expressed feeds with a growth spurt? I was told not to give more than 60ml every 2 hours. is that enough? what if he wants more?! gosh I'm so confused....problem is before when I was giving him food as he wanted, he screamed even more from becoming so bloated!

i am putting up 3 photos from the newborn shoot - hope she gets the others ready quickly! dying to see them.

Matt was a nightmare last night. screamed non stop from 9:30 - midnight. then woke at 4:30 and screamed for another hour and a half. its terrible as these co-incide with me needing to pump! so eventually last night my mom came to hold him while I pumped then at 5:20 I took him to DH and said he just has to deal with the baby as I need to pump. well he just lay Matt next to him and went back to sleep! however, after 15-20 minutes, Matt actually fell asleep too! I have no idea how I am going to cope when my mom leaves...If he cries when I am due for a pump, I think I am going to just have to leave him in the cot crying for 20 minutes!!

Anje tomorrow is your big day!! My word I cant believe you are 1 week overdue and so calm you must be getting really excited for tomorrow!!

Emsmom i completely forgot, happy birthday for yesterday. Hope you had a great day.
Lucy you are so lucky to have a husband who wants to help with baby. Mine slept through over a year of baby crying next to him in bed and did nothing to help. This time i have wonderful help mostly from my mom and Sulaiman is finally sleeping through so thats a miracle.
Kimika glad the wedding is over.

Tazzy - Hee hee on the milk. I was looking at some of your FB pics and there is one photo of Amelia that looks just like Tessa. In fact DH alked past and did think it was Tessa!!

Kimika - Ooooooo that sounds like a nasty experience. Glad it is better this time around. Thanks for the encouragement. I have healed really nicely and I am doing very well.

Meags - Sometimes people just don't think before they say something. You just need time to adjust and nothing is set in stone. Go with your gut ....... you are the Mommy and you know best.

Betty - A dropping belly usually does signal your body preparing. Mine dropped very early though. Glad you had a good weekend

Faw - Sorry about the tax refund - bummer. At least things are moving, even if slowly for your divorce. Hoping it gains momentum soon!!

Afm - Tessa is 9 days today and I am sure she is having a growth spurt. She fed from just before 6am until 1pm. She never let go or slept for more than 4 or 5min in that time. Hubby couldn't change the nappies fast enough!! Somehow my milk kept up but I did glug that blackberry stuff. She has been snoozing for 2 hours now and I think I might just burst!!
Funny I have had almost no sleep as last night DH woke me every hour (in his sleep) to ask me what he must do now!! He kept jumping out of bed too. Poor man wants to be a perfect Daddy. Anyway, no sleep, and I am as happy as a pig in mud .... happier actually! Hee hee

Hope you are all well!!
I went to sars on Friday and tried to get my money back from them, but when they initially did my tax they did it wrong and had my pension payout in the wrong year, so they put it in the correct tax year and as a result I went into a much higher tax bracket thanks to the pension payout. So if they had closed me off in the following year with the pension I would have been able to claim R7000 back. So I have lost all that money and there is nothing I can do about it and I cannot ask people to crook the books.
Then I asked my mom to take me to take me to wynberg court eventhough they don’t deal with divorce on a Friday. My dumb husband sent the wrong papers to me and probably on purpose to confuse me and probably hoped that I wouldn’t do anything about it. He told me last week that he decided not to contest the divorce. So anyway I walk in there and they help me. I think it was because I had a baby that they agreed to help me. Anyway he has contested the divorce and wants councelling and refuses to pay maintenance and has a whole lot of demands. It turns out that he saw the same lady that I dealt with.. they don’t deal with many Indian men, so it was easy for her to remember him. He took his friend I hate with to contest the divorce and told her that he was a policeman and heaven knows what other shit. Anyway I told her I don’t agree with what he wrote and I wrote up my reply have to send it to him. I came home and my mom had a fit because she says that the hours of visitation are too long. So I am taking her with tomorrow and will pray that I can change the letter and then send it to him and get my court date next week.. gotta give him time to get the letter and then I can get the date and then send him the date so that he knows when to appear. I should have gone there long ago and could have got my court date back then, but I was too busy and then had baby etc. So that is nearly on its way. My other friend that went in the same day as I did is already divorced and I was shocked cos she also has small children etc.
On thursday I didn’t go to social services. I was way too tired as baby was up half the night and I fell asleep at 5am and was meant to be up at 6am and that just didn’t happen.
I have to pay Table mountain back that money, but it is about R250 less than I thought I would have to pay back so at least I have some money to spend.
Friday night was a nightmare again as I was up from 1230 to 545am. He screamed most of the time and I managed to catch up on some sleep during the day. Last night he woke up every 2 hours or so. During the day he prefers to sleep for longer hours and drink more. I need to try change that so that I can sleep more.
Meags I am so sorry that you are having such a difficult time with your son. I had a very difficult time with Sulaiman (colic, constipation and breathing problems due to allergy to formula milk) as well and was dreading I would have the same story this time, but I am having such an easy time this time round and I hope it stays this way. Abdul decided the one day he is not drinking off a nipple shield and since then I have had few problems with latching. For the first few sucks I still have to grit my teeth and grin and bare it. I am glad that I had the difficult baby first because this time its so much easier. Abdul is now just over 3 weeks old and hardly cries, unless I change his nappy and then he tries to scream the whole house down. Eish. He hates nappy time.

Hope that the ladies on maternity leave are enjoying it and hope you don’t decide to go on holiday and then go into labour on the first day like I did. LOL!!!!.
