Meags- the paed was surprised when I said T is walking. So I think M will do things in his own time. He is a healthy and happy boy!!

Tazzy - well done on the CT travels....always daunting!

Rakker - thanks for sharing about A. It is amazing how much ears affect. While T was on 10 day course of antibiotics she learnt to pull herself up, balance and walk!! Crazy!

Schatsie, congrats on the permanent job. What a winner with the traffic.

Well Tessa is doing well and is always happy and full of smiles. She is even getting cheeky, and loves teasing! Only downer is the 8-20 wake ups per night. Eventually went to paed and he agreed teething is not this relentless and he is not happy with her ears. So we are going to an audiologist next week when I get back from CT (work!!) and we will take it from there. I am happy now to go the grommets route if that is what is needed.

OTherwise work going ok. Tessa's nanny is on mat leave so a little chaotic at the moment. Mom got back from UK just in time!! Dh and I also good. Did some counselling which helped with the new dynamics in our marriage. Good place, good stuff.......finally!! Now that sleep thing......

I'm so used to chatting to most of you on BBM that I forget to check what's going on here.

A big congrats to Kaylae on having your very special baby!

And Shrew congrats on having your 2nd one on the way! July is not far away!

Shannon good luck on TTC!

DH and I decided that there will definitely not be a 2nd baby for us, but I'm definitely going to feel a bit jealous when the people around me fall pregnant again!

I attach 2 pics of Arno. He is definitely the cutest little boy I've ever seen . He started walking 8 March, when he was still only 10 months old and now he's stopped crawling and just walks everywhere. The latest is that he runs away when you want to change his nappy or clothes, he is SO fast and then thinks he is SUPER funny!

He's just sleeping VERY little during the day - he will wake up at 7, then maybe sleep from 9 to 11 and then only wants to go down at 20h30 at night! NO afternoon nap for this child! I honestly don't know how poor Precious copes with him every day! The few hours between 16h30 when I get home and 20h30 when he goes to sleep feel extremely long, with him running everywhere and touching and pulling everything. He is fun to play with now though, because he knows how to push his cars and fetch things and bring them to you. He really is very interactive now and certainly more fun than when he was just lying in his bed all day.

It looks like everyone enjoyed their first birthday parties and I'm super impressed with all the girls who baked their own cakes! I think my family would've passed out with shock if I baked Arno's cake!

I started a new, permanent position at Metropolitan in Bellville on 1 April and so far I am super happy here. It is nice to feel part of a company again, not just being a contractor and treated like an outsider and the best part is of course having very little traffic to work since I am now closer to home and driving against the traffic.

Ya damnit, now she is also far away from me! Rustenburg is just too far . And after baking some cup cakes myself, I can definitely confirm that she is hugely talented. She is truely an artist (with a lot of patience).

Thanks Tazzy, not like I said happy birthday to Amelia... Birthday was very relaxed. I only sent cup cakes, chips and juice to school and then I had family over for cup cakes (by Kimika this time) and tea. For those who didn't see it on facebook:



She wakes up twice and once would feel so much better. No problem to get her to sleep when she wakes fortunately, but I still have to get up.

Cherise allows me te feed her, but she loves experimenting with the food, and not in a good way... After taking a spoonful of whatever, she puts 4 fingers into her mouth and "paints" with the food on herself, on me or the floor, whatever she can find . I am thinking of trying to get her to eat with a spoon by herself, but I think it will be a disaster.

Ah she is a little darling! I dont think I said Happy birthday! Did she have a lovely birthday?
How often does Cherise wake up at night?
Amelia had a much better night (or i should say, i had a much better night) she only woke up once, i gave some milk and she slept till 5

How is everbodys eating going? Amelia refuses to let me feed her, she only wants to feed herself now. It a huge mess! The spoon never reaches her mouth with food on it. So i give her a bowl and spoon and then i stand behind her with another bowl of food to try get it in her mouth.

Awesome pic, Tazzy. Good luck with the sleep issues. I am praying for the day (night) that Cherise decides to wake up only once a night .
