Lucy - wow!! That's a big baba! I would still stick with the newborn clothes. Amelia was 3.7kgs but still fitted into her clothes - a bit snug, but they do fit. I have tried some 0-3 month outfits on her this week but they still a bit big.
Can't wait for you to have Tessa now - so exciting!

Meags - ag man I'm so sorry to hear that dh is still treating you this way. I really thought after the letter he would catch a wake up. You really don't deserve to be treated like this.

Schatsie - woohoo on the baby shower! Fun!

Kimika - dh actually asked me if I'd phoned the hospital to confirm before we left home yesterday. And I told him off - saying that the midwives told me he comes every thurs. So he wasn't very chuffed! So I will def phone next thurs before driving all the way down there.

Cath - William was probably having a growth spurt, how old is he now? Is very normal for them to want to eat lots during those periods. Glad you got to sleep in! Its so divine when its your first baby and your on maternity leave. Sleeping late does not happen with my toddler around. She's up at 6am every morning.

Have a good weekend ladies

Lucy I'm telling you - those big babies are concealed in little bellies!!!!
They should provide the first blanket and beanie. Usually baby will just be dried with a sterilised towel from theatre and then wrapped up into a clean towel and they provide the beanie. Once you are more awake and up and about you can then dress baby and use your own blankets etc.
I would say keep 5 newborn outfits and exchange everything else for 0-3 months. And take 2 newborn outfits and 2 0-3 month outfits.
You'll probably find the newborn is a perfect fit (that wont last very long!) and the 0-3 is just slightly too big (like you'll need to fold the cuffs of the arms). so it's really up to you!

I think M has grown...but I really dont think I will be having a big baby. I think he'll be around 3.4-3.5kg as long as I dont go past due date.

Tazzy enjoy your dinner!!!!!!!!!!

Faw - really hope you are feeling ok and that the whole experience was not too traumatic - it didnt sound very pleasant!

Driekie - congrats on a nice big boy!! 55cm is tall!!!

FAW and DRIEKIE - Congratulations on your precious bundles of joy!! I wish you both a speedy recovery from the births and happy times with LO's. :woohoo:

Schatsie - Thanks for updating us, did Faw have c/s in the end or natural. So glad the brace is working out for you. Gynae said won't work for me :( Whoop whoop on parking and baby shower. What a good day for you ..... hope it continues through weekend. Yes 4April was my EDD. I agree this thread has loads of big babas !!

Meags - I agree with Claire. I think it is a frustration/ relief thing rather than intimacy. Be patient while he gets stabilised on his higher dose. Give him credit for trying to get better and being honest with you. Let him build trust in you and the intimacy will follow. Good luck hun.
I love the pics and think your list for DH is so nice. Oh and I think you have grown some more!! So M may not be so small after all :)

Claire - Thanks for the heads up.

Emsmom - I hope your poor sausage feels better soon. Looks like you may be before me after all ;)

Cath - You seem to be coping with everything so well. And it is paying off look how chilled W was once he was sorted out. My friend had what you had night after night for months. Go Will go! Sorry about those cards, how frustrating. Sure people will realise the colour is off!

Tazzy - Happy 5 years!! Enjoy your quick dinner :) Maybe phone next thursday before you leave to see that the trusty government employee came in to work!! :silly:

Kimika - How is Rueben doing? What is he weighing now?

Ladies - Do I toss my newborn stuff now and take 0-3 month clothing to the hospital? Do you take a blanket and beanie into theatre or do they provide the first one?
Oh and gynae could not understand how I was fitting such a big baby in my tummy, which made me feel good. :P

Hi ladies

Lucy - my WORD!!!! Schatsie I agree - the babies are either on the smaller side or MASSIVE!! Hehe. You are definitely having your baby before me!!!!!!! so only 14 dys left for you. I dont think this baby of mine is coming anytime soon.

Schatsie how nice for the babyshower!!! and fantastic you got cash. very nice when people do that instead of buying even MORE clothing or stuff you dont really need. and so glad the parking space is finalised :) something to make your last few weeks a little easier.

Claire and Tazzy - I would love to say 'yes good on DH for being so honest' but trust me - he didnt just admit it. I spent a good hour interrogating him, annoying him etc etc. he denied it for an hour! and I could just SEE he was lying!! so there was no way I was going to give up on it. and he knows that. so I am sure he only admitted to it since it was close to 10pm and he wanted to sleep. and after admitting it - he just got angry with me for asking questions! like it's such a matter of fact thing and why am I making such a big deal about it!

EmsMom - sorry about Em being sick :( Gosh you really dont need this right now!! Hope she gets better soon

Cath - there is no way I can look at things positively for now. I am too hurt. You know - when he opened up to me about how depressed he was - I felt like the world's worst wife for expecting him to have any sort of libido while feeling like that. I really felt horrible. and now I find out there is nothing wrong with his libido...
Sorry Will had a difficult night - but honestly - that sounds like a normal night to me!!! That's just what babies do!! You have just been super lucky to have such an angel for so many nights!!!!!!

Kimika I always tell DH I am willing and wanting to do it. If he lets me do it, I at least feel like I am good for something! I asked why he never lets me do it and he said it's quicker for him to do it and if I do it, I probably wont be able to 'finish him off' (nice blow to my ego there!) and then said I shouldnt worry all his previous girlfriends couldnt either and that it just takes too long when someone else does it. none of that exactly made me feel better!!!
I didnt even show him the list of expectations - I am sure he wont be interested.

MistyMom - yip I took the photos myself! It was a serious challenge! DH thought it was silly of me to be taking belly photos like that. but anyway. I dont need his opinion on the matter.

Well I slept terribly. I woke every 90 minutes and cried. every time I looked at DH I cried. how are we suppose to be intimate without letting this whole situation affect things? I sure as hell dont feel confident about things anymore and just feel embarrassed now to even do anything ever again since it clearly doesnt feel that great for him.
my poor Bling came and slept by me (he never sleeps on the bed when DH is here). So he clearly sensed (again!) that something was up. I love my cat :)

going to lunch with some of the expat wives today. really not in the mood but I arranged it and they dont all know each other so I cant exactly bail now. will probably do me good anyway to get out.

Hey Everyone

Just posting this quick sticks then I'll go back and read and do personals!!

I am not in labour! The pain in my stomach is due to and I quote my gynae from "breeding a monster!!!" He could not get a tummy reading for Tessa as it is over 40 weeks. So he has tried to put in the minimal measurements ie not do the entire circumference etc and has put her currently ay 39w2d and 3,4kg. Weight at 40 weeks would be 4,4kg !!

We saw her eyelashes ... so sweet and chubby lips. She has not engaged but is pushing on something (can't remember) and she is facing forward. Was a little worried that my placenta would be able to keep up but thinks I am good for another 2 weeks. So my C/S is at 7.30 am on the 25 March, with a visit on 22 march to check how we are doing.

Catch up again soon!
